We have Dion Simms at 6-4 265. God forbid Sherman use him in the redzone. I mean his first NFL catch WAS a one handed TD grab while being blanketed by a DB. In Shermans offense that doesnt take precedence over the vaunted shotgun stretch runs.

So we don't need another WR...we just need to use the TEs.
 
Jordan Matthews This is the safest number 1 pick in the draft. Focus on RB and OL after that.. Good god please draft this kid to go with Wallace and Hartline.
Repair the OL and maybe our RB issues will be resolved. If not draft someone later.

If he can be as versatile as Clay I dont think we need to spend that resource on WR. Point is the type of big bodied receiver we need is already on the roster in Dion Simms (although hes a TE).

The value is the beasting that takes place and is a pleasure to see, as we can see from Clay and Gibson and Keller when they play.
 
I'd love to have a Mike Evans, but just as much Jace Amaro. A big WR or TE gives you a mismatch that doesn't slump. There was a TD pass to Jimmy Graham last week, not a fancy play. He stood in the middle of the end zone and Brees just threw it high where only Graham could go get it. Easy as pie TD. We don't have that.
 
A big, physical receiver would be nice but I also think a pass-catching back would be far more useful to this team right now. For the life of me I do not understand why this offense refused to use Reggie Bush and then let him walk.

So safe he won't even be there for us to pick. Cuz we're going to the superbowl, right?

Because he wasn't that good at running the ball, still the primary job of the running back. Not that many others have had success with Philbin.
