Rishard Mathews is developing into that
possesion guy, speed guy, slot guy, and one, preferably two redzone physical guy that can block downfield for power sweeps. We have Harline(possession), Wallace(Speed), Gibson when healthy(slot). We have no physical redzone tall targets. Clay makes up for some of it with his tenacity/athleticism. I'd like Brandon Coleman or Fiedorowicz in the 3rd round to fill that jump ball spot that Tanny needs inside the 20.
We have Dion Simms at 6-4 265. God forbid Sherman use him in the redzone. I mean his first NFL catch WAS a one handed TD grab while being blanketed by a DB. In Shermans offense that doesnt take precedence over the vaunted shotgun stretch runs.
So we don't need another WR...we just need to use the TEs.
Yea, its about half and half.
Antonio Brown, DeSean Jackson, Josh Gordon, and Garcon are perfect examples of why Mike Wallace should be at least top 5 in yards receiving if our QB could deliver a strike downfield.
Jordan Matthews This is the safest number 1 pick in the draft. Focus on RB and OL after that.. Good god please draft this kid to go with Wallace and Hartline.
Repair the OL and maybe our RB issues will be resolved. If not draft someone later.
Calvin Benjamin!!!!! Please!
A big, physical receiver would be nice but I also think a pass-catching back would be far more useful to this team right now. For the life of me I do not understand why this offense refused to use Reggie Bush and then let him walk.
