the worst part of the schedule is over

Those people thinking it's going to get easier are in for a rude awakening. One thing I've learned as a 40 yr Dolphins Fan, teams who look weak suddenly become good or great and those teams who've looked like powerhouses fall from grace just as quickly, BUT NEVER is it easy. NE has found it's stride and the NY Jets have a very rough and tough bunch in the front seven on defense, who will cause problems for Miami's less than stellar O-line. Please don't kid yourselves about it getting easier.

Anybody who thinks division games are easy hasnt watched enough football. There are no easy games.

Oh, it's not going to be easy. It is NEVER easy in the NFL. But I definitely think this was the toughest part of the schedule right here.

On the road for the second straight week @ Indy - good home team, playoff team. Vs Atlanta, they are 1-3 but look at their losses -- 3 close losses to teams with a combined record of 11-1, @ New Orleans on Monday Night - I circled this one as the worst game on the schedule with red underlines before the season, and now at home vs the defending Super Bowl champs, still a dangerous team.

We come out of here at 4-1 we are sitting pretty. Cincinnati is not New Orleans. The Patriots are good, they are tough, but we get one of those games at home. The Chargers game is in Miami, which evens it up a little as west coast teams don't travel well for EST afternoon games.

Big game next week, gotta bounce back and make sure this loss doesn't stay with us.

Don't worry, some of us experience folk fully understand that. Don't let these kids who have no idea what they're talking about steer you away from logic. They are in for a rude awakening because the dolphins will only get more and more exposed as teams see more and more tape of whats really going on. You can't hide weaknesses forever, especially in this league.. There are teams that start the year lucky every year, then fade into oblivion as an afterthought by midseason.. Miami is one of those teams. The offensive line and defensive back 7 is too poor for any other result. Add in the fact you have a poor running game and a crybaby #1 receiver who has well under 30 yards per game in 3 of his 4 games.

I will just say, We've seen this movie before...and know how it ends

:lol2: :lol2: "Some of us experience folk". :bobdole: Yes, I'm sure you're well aware of past Miami Dolphins seasons. I am too. I'll tell you one thing, this is not those same teams. Coach Philbin is not another Sparano, Wannstedt, Johnson, Cameron, etc. He will get this team back to winning football.

Counterpoint: here is a complete list of NFL teams who have an all-time elite quarterback, a 6'8" all pro tight end, a top tier pass-catching scatback, and multiple outstanding big, physical wide receivers: Denver, New Orleans

Denver ain't on the schedule. We got Baltimore next week and do you honestly think that they could create the same kind of mismatches as New Orleans? Dennis Pitta, their best TE, is no Jimmy Graham and he's on IR. Joe Flacco ain't Drew Brees. They are not going to just look at the New Orleans game film and go "OK, let's just do that and put up 40 points." They can't do that.

New England is the most dangerous team left on our schedule, and we just need to steal one from them.

Logic is tough for the "experienced folk".

Hopefully we get Byrd, Gilmore, McKelvin and Brooks back soon.............would love to see us against the Fins with our secondary finally healthy.

Not saying you are wrong, but people said the same thing about Cameron, Saban, and Sparano.

Not scared...Last time I checked none of those guys were an island

I agree with you. But Like the movie, "On Any Given Sunday". You just never know and I'll point to the Tennessee game in 2012, where most of us thought that would be a win on the schedule and look how that game turned out. I still get sick when I think about how poorly the entire team played against the Titans. Cincinnati and Baltimore are having a tough time so far this year, but, I'm not completely convinced Miami has worked out it's kinks yet on defense. The offensive line is really bad and has the potential to get Tannehill injured, especially against the front 7 of the Jets. that is why I mentioned them in my original post. Being a possible 4-1 after the Ravens game is great and would bode well for the bounce back game, although I'm worried about the short week.

I'm worried about the short week.

Agreed. I thinks this Ravens game is pretty important and it will be a test for us. If the team can stop the bleeding and go into the bye week coming off a win -- with Wake and Soliai and hopefully Patterson getting healthier, we are in fantastic shape going forward.

Very excited for this week's game. We are going to find out what this team is made of.

im pretty content about the team being 3-1. lots of mistakes but then again the saints are a better team with their coach back and rob ryan. my opinion, brees is the best QB (manning gets too many highlights) the fins were hannging in so they werent getting blown out as some predicted. the schedule gets more easier. take care of the ravens at home and go 4-1 into the bye which is pretty good.

NFC Champion contending home team opponent + lose the turnover battle = a loss

I am still very confident in my original prediction of 11-5. Lets try to remember this is a young team with a lot of new players that are still trying to get in sync.

The schedule in the second half is much softer, and the team should improve as the year progresses.

I will be happy if we get thru the next 4, (Ravens, Bills, Patriots & Bengals) at 2-2.....putting us at 5-3 at the mid point. I expect 6-2 in the second half giving us an 11-5 record.

This is a year of growth and of tasting the playoffs....next year I believe we will be legit to contend.
