If you want to know what my priorities are then you must understand it has nothing to do with the record and I don't care whether or not we sweep the division opponents next season. All I want is improvement. Saban says he wants to create a team that will be able to win now and in the future and the emphasis should be on the future. I know we brought in some older D guys, but guys like them are replaceable and available most seasons. What we have to do is get the future stars at positions that are hard to fill. IMO the most important building block for that is the QB. We have to find one , whether it's AJ (I doubt it) another FA we bring in (depends on the guy, but proably not my 1st choice) or we draft a guy high. If we can find our QB and the team shows real improvement, I'm satisfied.
Admittedly, once the games start I'll want to win every game, but I don't know how much optimism I'll have for the future if we go 10-6 with Gus as our starter (IMO he'll start) and we fail to acquire a QB. I want to improve and to acquire building blocks for the future. Those are my priorities.
