Theories on Quinn signing

Moore is over rated.
i don't think the fins get much in a trade.
Especially with a hurt shoulder.

Now TEBOW! jk

Theory? I say this is a strong indication the Germans are going to bomb Pearl Harbor once again. What say you Goon Boss?
uh the germans didn't bomb pearl harbor... duh.
I don't like the move but whatever

if we move moore just get something, don't let him go for free. either way we would win by freeing up the cap space

My theory is that Brady Quinn is a better player than Pat Devlin. I have no idea why we kept Devlin so long.

Based on his interviews and brief TV work Quinn also seems to be an intelligent guy, somebody who could be of help in meetings and on the sideline.

Josh Freeman flunks the above.

I always like the idea of picking up someone who was once highly rated, if the price is cheap and it comes without baggage. There can be surprises on the high end.

We wont get much mybe a late round pick but better than nothing. I think his salary prevents a move as for freeing up cap space we have 14 million right now as usual we will carry over

Brady Quinn is a living example of the hazards of being over-drafted and carrying the burden of expectations. He was expected to be drafted by the Dolphins at #9 in the 1st round and slid to #22 in the glare of the cameras. He struggled in Cleveland as a starter when "Horseballs" Derek Anderson got hot for one season and then Brady was shipped to Denver as a backup to another overhyped QB in Tebow. Imagine Quinn's disgust when he knew he could pass more accurately than the muscled baby Jesus, but he learned to zip his mouth and just do his job.
Brady Quinn has bounced around the league on many teams (KC, Seattle, St Louis, the Jets, possibly others) and he can help send a visible message to all the young drafted players on the team, that the good looks and muscles count for little when you carry the burden of expectations and fail to deliver. Make the most of your opportunities, because you too can become yesterday's great hope (cough - hope you're listening Ja'Wuan, Jarvis, Billy, Dion, Jamar, Will, Dallas, Ryan, Mike, Daniel, et al the message is for you).

Here's the bottom line. Moore's injury is very concerning and may require surgery. He's not practicing, getting reps in the new offense and building chemistry with the WR's. He's also being paid 5M/year. Figure it out. We cannot go into the season with no back up QB. Quinn has experience in the league and Devlin doesn't, so all this means is that we are probably only keeping two QB's on the roster and we needed an experienced back up. Tannehill better stay healthy or we are in big trouble.

Theory is Delvin sucks, and Moore is overrated hot garbage! I saw on SBnation that Moore is the 23rd highest paid qb in the league. Who would pay that for a flaming dumpster that doesn't fit your system? He isn't worth much in a trade because a team must acquire the contract. Not even Houston wants to!

Philbin and Hickey insisted there be a weekly "sexy off".....

My theory is that Devlin and/or Moore aren't picking up the new offense fast enough.
So bring in a garbage QB and give him only three weeks to pick up the offense? I agree that it's too replace one if the two but I stunt think it's for the reason.

He's still better than Quinn however Tannehill is very durable so the need to pay a backup QB 5m isn't there. I can justify signing a garbage backup to replace a better backup when you feel the chances of needing the backup are slim to none
