Jim Irsay not happy about Peyton's comments, not in the least: "Keep it in house.'' Further details to come in the Star.

Irsay also called Peyton "a politician'' for some of his quotes in my story. This, sadly, is deteriorating.
Bob Kravitz is a beat writer for the Colts in the Indianapolis Star. This break up seems all but inevitable and could turn into an ugly episode for both sides.

The uglier it gets the better. Makes it more likely that they will have to simply cut him.

This smells of an owner lookin' for an excuse to cut and run. If what Payton said was offensive to the Colts as an organization than comments made by the Jets locker room must be on an entirely new level never before heard by mankind.

Irsay is a drunken douche who comes from a family of D-bags. With that stupid twitter account, he should just STFU. Early on when SFL was in play, but still for most realists, a pipedream, I played devil's advocate about Oliver Luck steering his son clear of us. Hell, at this point we look like Stanford as compared to Indy and Irsay looking like San Fernando Valley Community College considering the upheaval, the 1yr wonder HC who's a defensive guy and the inebriated big mouthed owner whose dad moved the team in the dead of night out of Baltimore and who's started Curtis Painter about 5 games too long to ensure 1st draft position. **** Indy.

Irsay is a lunatic. He reminds me of a spoiled rich kids playing with his toys. You need to see his Twitter account. The things that comes out of that guys mind... wow.

One bad year and they treat him like ****. **** the Colts. You think Belichick would have done the same to Brady when he was down with a knee? Or us with Marino?

Absolute disrespect to a class act HOF QB who made them billions.

per rotoworld
Colts owner Jim Irsay criticized Peyton Manning Thursday, calling the future Hall of Famer a "politician" for his early-week comments to the Indianapolis Star.
"Don't put the Horseshoe in a bad light," said Irsay, who added that Manning should have kept his issues with the Colts front office "in the house." The relationship between the two men is deteriorating quickly, as both sides spin the media to curry public favor before the inevitable breakup.

Did I miss something? what did Manning say that was so bad?

Hey Jim Irsay, you call Peyton Manning a "politician," but your daddy Bob was the one who took a big dump on the entire city of Baltimore by moving the team out of town in the middle of the night. Peyton has way more class than you you sleazebag!!!!

I hope they do cut Manning and Luck pulls an Eli/Elway on that whole ****ty franchise, it would serve them right for tanking a season and treating their franchise QB like that. Then they can be stuck with Painter or Orlovsky as their starter, and be screwed for a long time.

Yes, obviously a pathetic attempt by Irsay to start breaking down Manning so that the fan base won't be so upset with them cutting Manning here in a few weeks. Watch for several more attempts by Irsay or "inside sources" that accuse Manning of some type of bad behavior in all this. In the end, it will bite the Colts in the rear WAY worse than it every went down here with Marino and some will never forgive the Colts. He's also giving Manning fuel to want to come back and be succesful so he can stick it to Irsay and the Colts.

If Irsay continues this act and the climate in the club becomes toxic, it could become a realistic possibility that Luck will try to force his way elsewhere...
