Think a little will you...?

All I'm asking is before you post, THINK A LITTLE.

GO PHINS!!!

I'll think a little bit.........OK I have thought about it, and the only thing that Ricky will teach Ronnie, he can learn from game tape! Ricky is very introverted, and wont be a very good mentor! Whats he going to teach him, to roll a fatty??? I want the quitter no where near my Phins!!! I hope we trade him for a Nathans Hot Dog! Also anyone who thinks Oakland would be interested, remember thay just signed Lamont Jordan.

A nice, well thought out post Perez. Unlike most of the garbage I find on this site.

Shush yourself.

Hey Perez......................Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
You talk too much

Hey Rainmaker, I am right. Shush me all you want, it's still the right move. And for the record, I think ricky would do a good job of helping Brown FOOTBALL wise, I NEVER said he should MENTOR him in any way. There's at least 10 other guys that would do that wonderfully, including Zach and Jason.

There's no one else out there that we can bring in that has this much upside. We brought BOSTON back BECAUSE of his upside. Ricky is no different.

And, once agin for thise of you who missed it, I'm right. Yet again.

Shush yourself.

Saban is right on track here.

Thanks

Great post Perez!

Thanks for the support! So many Phin fans here are just like little kids, grabbing their GI Joes and saying "And now, he flies over Russia and drops nuclear powered grenades over there and..."

That's how they are with the Dolphins. I've read things like "WHY DOn"T WE TRADE RONNIE BROWN FOR PEYTON MANNING?"

So when I write a post defending Saban's brilliant move of bringing Ricky back to SEE what might develop, these little kids with their GI Joe's start attacking me saying I'm wrong or worse, boring.

Well, then so are Saban and Belichick. If sound football decisions bore you guys, I suggest you read the JETS forum. Lots to discuss over there and it's always interesting.

As for us here, Saban hasn't made one error so far. He's promised Ricky a reduced role and a chance to earn. He's coming back to see what he's got.

Any questions GI Joes?

I don't have a problem with RW coming back. However, Brown is my starter. I'd bring RW in on short yardage and at the end of games when we are leading. Then I'd just use him to run between the tackles and pound the line of scrimmage. In short, I'd only let him do the dirty work.

Of course if you do that, he'll probably quit again. Because he wants to preserve his body.

That's exactly what I would do as well. Spell Brown, short yardage and fourth quarter. You hit it on the nail.

Wow, you sound so intelligent. Please understand, I was being sarcastic.

Lamont Jordan... And a healthy and productive Ricky Williams WOULDN'T be an upgrade over him in 2006-2007? Hmmmm....

I hear your words and they make me laugh.

Ronnie Brown can learn A LOT by just WATCHING Ricky practice with the first team offense. But yeah, I think Ricky would strike up a friendship with Brown just as he did with Minor and Konrad when he was here.

And yeah, on all football related matters I do believe that Having Ricky here would be better for Brown than NOT having Ricky here.

That's my opinion and it's up for debate.

What's NOT debatable is whether SABAN is doing a smart thing by offering Ricky a chance to come back and help himself and this team.

There's no debate there. It is absolutely brilliant.

Anyone who disagrees is just being emotional and not thinking like a football coach. Ricky makes us better. 'Nuff Said!

In a perfect world maybe...................................Btw what happens to RW's 5-8 carries a game should Brown get hurt?:confused2I will tell you,Saban uses RW like a workhorse,RW gets upset and quits(again) Saban catches all hell for even bring RW back and Wayne H is looking for a new HC next year.Brillant!

No....

Boston may not be the model citizen, but he didn't quit on his team at the worst possible time. He got hurt, and at least TRIED to come back. He also turned down more money to come back here, whereas you can be 99% sure that the only reason Ricky wants back in is because of the money he owes Wayne H. So its VERY different.

In your hypothetical scenario, the glass is half empty.

here's the only thought you need to embrace:

Ricky is coming back and yes, circumstances COULD lead him to quit again.

But then again, Saban is NOT Wanny, so... He may NOT quit.

I choose to believe and invest. We can't bring anyone else in, so let's investigate the possibilities.

Anything wrong with that?

yes, they're not IDENTICAL situations. In fact, if you look closely you'll see that the two players have DIFFERENT LAST NAMES AND EVERYTHING.

Sarcasm aside, my POINT was that both players are surrounded by negatives about their character but BOTH players posses a HUGE upside.

That's why they're here with the team.

Any questions?
