Think our oline is bad? The Jets are in trouble..

turner broke his leg and is done for the year??? now that would be a loss...

anyways i don't know that i view the jets oline as better than the falcons...jets play more power up front knock you off the ball the falcons play more as a unit and excellent technique

but they're both damn good

It's not for the year as of now, he is expected back in Novemebr for the stretch run. It is definitely a loss, he is our swing OL and important to our success now that Hunter is a starter. I am sure Tannenbaum will bring in another OL or 2 but hopefully he has a speedy recovery.

as far as OLs? I don't know who has the best but I do know we have a good one.

The Jets have a good oline when all their starters are healthy. Right now their line is suspect at best.
The lack of quality depth will hurt them all season if the injuries start to mount.
The jets QB has good scrambling ability, I think he will need it this season.

all of our starters are healthy.

I read all the comments on this thread that these Jets fans are spewing. And they are using Dolfans own words to make their argument.("Suck For Luck and etc.) Man, we make it so easy for the opposing fans. Great job phin fans.

what bone exactly did turner break and where was the break??? and who takes his place on the starting oline...does someone get shifted around??? better hope its not ducasse at right tackle or anywhere really in the starting 5...i haven't seen anything from that guy in 2 years

wasn't there a guy last year who while mangold was out in the preseason played a pretty solid center...i seem to recall that

all of our starters are healthy.

I heard mangold has a stinger and lingering shoulder problems..
Buress who is supposed to replace edwards which is a stretch to begin with.
Buress hasn't played for a while except in his orange outfit for the past couple years
is 34 and out of shape 1st day of camp he hurts his ankle..
Shawn smith will cover this guy like a king size comforter..

I hate to be your debbie downer but the jets dont look like the same team
Rex knows it deep down you can see his anger and frustration
alot of lucky breaks happened last year
many of sanchez passes should have been intercepted were dropped
I can tell you when the jets play miami our Db's wont drop many this year.
it is no coincidence that rex wanted to remove sanchez
after the dolphins roughed up his pea**** feathers..

derrick masons more consistent that braylon edwards and won't be a bad influence in the lockerroom...the jets would be just fine with mason and holmes this year...if they get anything out of plax at this stage as a big target in the red zone to help with their red zone scoring # last year its a bonus...

cromartie who yeah gambles at times but also has the physical abilities to lock down the opposition and make plays on the ball in that pressure scheme is a great fit as the #2 cb and he's back

damien woody retired due to injury i believe and while he was solid right tackles aren't that hard to find...many guards in the league today have the feet to shift outside to right tackle...its the arm length that many lack

another year for sanchez to mature and develop...i just don't see why miami fans are caught in this delusion that the jets are a worse football team than 2010... i think its outright nonsense

He's not a starter, he's our 6th OL. he is the guy who backs up Mangold. Our 5 starters are Brick, Slauson, Mangold, Moore and Hunter.

ahhh...so turner was the guy i thought played well while mangold was holding out...

barring another injury in the top 5 you guys are fine...slauson showed well last year hunter if i recall got an extension this last offseason you guys liked him that much...i could see hunter having issues with wake but you just roll the protection to his side to help him out

Who are you? You're so reasonable. An unusual trait for a fan of any rival team.

I try not to throw stones because it seems that 80% of Jets fans think the Pats suck and vice versa. So insanity is not limited to Dolphin fans. Besides, how can you call a hopeful Dolphin fan crazy when there are Raider fans looking for a division championship and Seattle fans that think Tavarius Jackson is going to lead them back to divisional round of the playoffs.

The bottom line is that the jets have NO DEPTH! Ducasse got beat like my ex-gfs ----- ..... Kerley isn't that great and the rest of their depth at every position sucks. McCelroy reminds me of Derek Anderson. Their white punt returners are horrid. Rex is fat. The only player I love and WISH WE DRAFTED is Bilal Powell.

You actually draft for the fish?

No wonder fish drafts have been so horrendous

Thank you.

Since not one is hurt.

well, couple things.

Brad Smith gone.
LT year older after his comeback year. (not necc a downgrade, but I am expecting the usual foot prob by week 7.)
Jets just took one FA big name and replaced with another "older guy". Yeah Mason is a nice respectable receiver, but he is old and friggin retired two years ago, then came back.
Their drafts have not been deep or real big gains. I include Sanchize in there cus he was high draft pick and people still comparing to Henne.....he just threw another quick slant! LOL
Defense I just do not see being as nasty. It will still be very good, but holes will be found. Just not seeing depth like we have. Thinking about the long season here.
