Same could be said of Feeley.I think people should forget about the name on the back of Jersey and support whoever Saban thinks should start.
 
I'll admit that Monday's game was encouraging (from watching Gus), but I do think it's a bit premature to jump on the bandwagon before watching him with the 1st team.
 
Yes Gus is 34, but he is a young 34. He hasn't been out there getting beaten to death week in and week out, year after year. And maybe AJ needs more time, who knows its just the beginning of training camp and we will all have better grip on the over all picture of this team in 3-4 more weeks!
 
Wes Welker is the new Tim Dwight....I'm happy we have him.

That's not exactly true though...if you have a breakdown in scheme (i.e. the safety rolled over too late to pick up the cb's man), the player can simply get a bad break or take a bad angle and no amount of speed is helping you then brother...it's all in timing..and timing is born from repetition.

Another thing that needs improvment IMO is how slow our defense (special Team)is getting down field after a kick off. Did anyone notice how quickly the Bears got down there... they were on Welker like ants on honey...This has always been a Fin problem

They should be good right now as the first team defense should have held the Bears to -20 total yards and the first team offense shold have rolled up 42 points. Since they didn't live up to those standards they will not win more than 4 games this season :rolleyes:.

It's way early guys. The Bucs game is the ONLY pre season game that will give us an idea on where the team stands. I'm sure there will be some more linuep changes prior to the opener.
