Fletcher was considered a future pro bowl cover corner coming into the draft.

yeah some did. it's true that many thought he would be very good, but even many draftboards back then thought he was too small, and ranked going as the 3rd/4th CB that year with Nate Clements, Fred Smoot and Will Allen going before him.

Jamar has been nothing but a HUGE surprise for us. He saved 2 games last year and made one of the best INT's Ive ever seen live (fully stretched diving). He has played absolute wonderful this off-season...

I (along with many other rational posters here) thought that Fletcher could be a good player in the Right system. That being said, Miami was not the right system for him, and wanny never should've drafted a Square peg for a round hole. I hope Jamar continues to play well for you.

That was a good pick, Miami was able to trade him for a first round pick the next year and it was a better pick.

Didn't they go before him though? I was pretty sure that Jamar was picked where he should've been in relation to those other corners. I think the biggest problem I had with the pick was Drew brees sitting right there waiting to be drafted.:fire:
