...still cant believe that we are 0-3 after looking through our roster!
Compared to 08, this team is loaded! ...especially after the emerge of Daniel Thomas, we all thought he could be the weak spot 4 weeks ago!
The depth throughout the roster is ok, and as Vernon went I wasn´t overly concerned! ILB maybe the weakest point (still cant believe we gave up on Edds after one preseason!) and maybe safety, but again the team in 08 was out to prove something...

We have to stop perform sloppy (the Houston game came to my mind) and start to drive and play nasty! In 08 and 09 we were considered to be a tough and nasty team!
PLAY TOGETHER ONE GAME - START TO GEL!!!

We performed bad be cause coaches don't know how to coach, with this much talent that its what it is.

coaching, coaching, coaching or the lack thereof.
Team entered the season out of shape, the level of play is sloppy, the game planning is poor and the team makes stupid mistakes repeatedly. If you believe in conspiracy theories you would be tempted to believe the organization is deliberately throwing these games.

We may have solid players at some positions, but none of those solid players are playmakers. If you cant get a turnover, or turn a 5 yard gain into a 50 yard gain on occassion, we are going to consistently lose.

We have no playmakers...? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Brandon Marshall was considered a playmaker...in Denver
Reggie Bush (used to his strengths) was considerd a playmaker...in NO
Hartlines´and Bess´catches arent shabby at all...

Dansby was considered a playmaker...in Arizona (Sacks, FR, Ints)
the same goes for Burnett in SD last year (Sacks, FR and picks)
after his rookie year everybody thought Vontae Davis is a playmaker in the making...

I STILL CANT BELIEVE THAT THOSE GUYS ARE GETTING WORSE AT THE MOMENT THE PUT ON A DOLPHINS UNIFORM...because that happens actually!

Not sure what you are talking about, but Marshall has 2 dropped TD's, Bush is averaging 3 yards per carry, and Dansby and Burnett havent had a pick, sack, or forced fumble yet. So yes, we still need playmakers.

I think he's saying that once players put on a dolphins uniform, all of their talents seem to diminish. As crazy as that sounds, in a lot of cases it is very coincidental.

With a little reading comprehension its pretty easy to see what he was talking about.

as fans we seem to always over-estimate the talent of the players on our team.
No question about that, and it's been happening for ages too.

As to the assertion made by the OP, that this team is too talented to fail-- wanna bet?

Sorry buddy, but mixing sarcasm with truth is an easy way to confuse anyone. So before you go off calling people illiterate, try and have some understanding of how people should write, not how people should read.

There are alot of teams in the NFL with talent..Alot.

The Eagles may have the best team on paper but look at them 1 and 2?

The whole board was clammoring for Matt Ryan and granted he is alot better than Henne but they are 1 and 2...

You gotta go out and take the wins, no one is gonna give it to you..

Thats what I think is the biggest problem with this Dolphins team..Its like they feel that they are owed something..

He said they were playmakers..not they are playmakers. Thats all I was saying.

I have to disagree, and this is one of the main reasons I want Ireland gone too. Outside of Long and Pouncey, our O-line is GODAWFUL, and it's depth is even worse, though not that it matters when you have Colombo starting. Daniel Thomas looks like he could be good (though still too early) and I'm pretty excited at what Clyde can possibly do, but outside of that, nothing else on the offense is impressive to me. Wait, sorry, Bess. Bess is an awesome slot receiver. However, our WR depth is horrible, as is our RB depth. Hilliard is a lumbering, straight-forward runner and cannot be a legitimate starter if Thomas goes down. Bush is a situational, just like he was in NO. IMO, we have 2 stars (Marshall and Long), three hopeful rookies, one good slot receiver, an average future backup/journeyman starter QB and hot garbage everywhere else...

As for the defense, outside of Davis, the secondary is atrocious. Our linebackers can't cover to save their lives (good call on Burnett...), and again, depth is a major concern everywhere but the D-line. We have maybe three good players on D and one possible star (Davis), the rest are average to above average at best.

To top it off, we don't have a coaching staff that's capable of masking weaknesses and making adjustments when said weaknesses are exposed by opposing teams. For every decent FA pick up, we have 10 horrible ones that are incredibly obvious that it's shocking when it happens (Barbie Carpenter and Colombo come to mind immediately). Same with the draft. These guys are pretty good at picking average joes, which only ensures continued mediocrity.

It's all a symptom of a much bigger problem that sits on the sideline (and wherever Ireland sits. My guess would be under Ross's desk).
