"This is embarrassing for the Dolphins....."

Nubs I have to tell you... I am all the way down here in Argentina... I went to watch the game at a popular expats bar and it was chock full of freaking Pats fans... Loaded. Seemed like every American in Buenos Aires was a leather lunged southie. Same every time. With the Spanish speaking and the HUGE number of Argentines in Miami I thought for sure the Phins would get a little love. NADA... NONE... ZERO...

This is SOUTH AMERICA and the boys are still down here wiping nacho cheese off that number 12 Brady jersey...

I know you are making a broader point but the Pats are an extremely well supported franchise... Good ownership, coaching and most of all... COMPETING YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT... will do that.

Improve the product, improve the gate... it really is that simple and Miami will once again become a very difficult place to play.
It isn't just the Pats. Bears, Saints, 49ers, Raiders, etc. every game I go to is about the same. Doesn't really matter who the opposing team is.

It's called BANDWAGON. Of course as the NFL branches out to other countries it's only reasonable to deduce that the recent winning franchises are going to rapidly become "fan" favorites. Watch though when they stop winning, many will return to soccer...

Nublar you really love to kill Miami fans but how come I don't see you killing your favorite HC Sparano? The Phins were gassed and practically crawling to the sidelines, like they have never played in the Miami heat before. It looked like we were the New England team and the Pats practiced in Florida all year. Not having them ready to go had had hell of a lot more effect on the game than having a few extra thousand Dolphin fans in the seats.
I have given some of my thoughts about the game in other threads. Feel free to check them out before making a broad statement. This thread is not about Sparano and not about the game on the field last night, this is about the problem that dates back over w decade.

People say they don't support a mediocre team, but they seem to support mediocre fan support. Imagine if the deafening "Defense" chant wasn't going on when the Dolphins had a chance to make it a 7 point game in the 4th quarter. Just think if it was quiet, maybe the Dolphins convert that touchdown. Never underestimate the value of the 12th man. The Patriots had that advantage in the 4th quarter.

I'll be there next week and I promise all of you that win or lose, I won't make another pointless attendance thread.

Cover your eyes and keep telling yourself the attendance is not a problem. lol

Can you honestly sit here and say attendance is the reason we have 1 win in our last 12 home games? Including multiple prime-time melt down, blow outs, and a shut out!

I just cant see why we expect casual fans to show up and watch the kind of garbage i saw last night. Bottom line is, we have lost something like 9 of our last 10 at home. WTF. Fans aint gonna show. I was at the Sunday night Jets game last year and the stadium was full, and we drowned out the Jets fans. That was before we decided to lose every ****ing home home in the worst way possible.

Whether it is or isn't, it's not my fault and not my problem. All this is, is a form of entertainment and if people don't wanna go it's on them. It's like getting mad when people don't go to see a certain movie or play. Yeah, it's THAT silly when you think about it.

Completely understand your fustration but why is it ok to continually blast the local fans yet when others blast the Coach or players you are the first to come to thier defense?

You are a GREAT fan of this team and I wish we had 80,000 people just like you at every game.

No going to happen.

I wont repeat all the reasons again. You've heard them.

Hopefully with better play that will change.

Being born and raised in Miami I doubt it.

Going to a game is great but not the ONLY measure of a good fan.

I stopping going years ago but NEVER miss a game on TV and follow evry move my team makes.

The only hats I wear say Miami Dolphins on them. I pay for direct TV just to see the away games.

Enjoy the games. Root for our team. Get off the fans. We get enough hate from the media already and don't need it from other fans. Hope you had a great time in south Florida regardless of the game or fan support.

COME BACK SOON ... and bring some friends.

I just really feel like the Marlins and Dolphins are in big trouble. It's been a decade of mediocre management. The more they lose, the less people will go. Eventually, the Fins are going to have trouble selling any tickets.

it's all about winning. I wish all Dolphins fans were like the fans on this forum. Unfortunately their not.

This regime running the team is the much bigger problem. Im not sure when the fact that our coordinators consistently underperform and have shoddy gameplans falls on Sparano. When does the poor conditioning fall on Sparano? When does starting Jones when he clearly wasnt ready fall on Sparano? When does the entire D coming out flat with no heart fall on him?

When does cutting Allen fall on Ireland? What about passing on multiple better options on the line when it was clearly an issue? What about his failure to add a sensible up the middle option at RB? Thats on him. Point your finger there before blaming the home crowd for the loss when the team hasnt won at home since Moses was wondering in the wilderness.

I agree that game proves there is a supportive and hungry fan base in Miami. Problem is they are being served Chicken **** and told it is Chicken Salad!

I get what you're saying but Buffalo is a bad example. I wouldn't go to Buffalo if they paid me. Traveling to Miami is a vacation plus you get to see your team play.

You missed the point of he was trying to make about the Bills. He's not talking about us as Dolphins fans going to Ralph Wilson stadium, he's talking about Bills fans STILL going and supporting the Bills even though they have sucked. Basically saying, don't use the fact that Miami hasn't been relevant in years as an excuse why the stadium isn't filled. The Bills are worse off and they're stadium is not only filled, it's filled with Bills fans

Difference is Buffalo is not made up of immigrants and transplants.
