This is starting to look bad for miami dolphins

I don't think Sherman was the real issue. It was collective, so yes he is the scapegoat. Not gonna change much, the line talent was the main issue. If the line held up our offense would have been good. So who does that fall on? Ireland and philbin they both have a say in who we pick

Ireland has zero say in who we install at OC

It all up to a guy who has 2 yrs sub par performance as Head Coach. A guy who mind you started out his head coaching career with 1/2 of his staff with zero experience. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES can anyone teach experience. Especially when you don't have any yourself.

Typical, the coordinator gets fired when the offense lacks talent and doesn't make plays. I wonder what a new coordinator will do with the debacle we had on the offensive line, no quality running back, no alpha receiver, no true every down and situation tight end, zero fullback, and a marginal QB that can't make chunk plays due to in accuracy?

If anyone thinks a new coordinator is the answer, good luck.

Who exactly is responding to that? Other people on this message board? National response....?

FOX radio, detroit 1130 am, a couple of guys with really bad voice. They are still on btw. They were the same guys that insinuated that johnathan Martin might be gay. Not that I cared!

I think they need to worry about their pathetic Lions and their sewer they call a city.

dont care much what the national media thinks. this team is already better without sherman calling the plays.

National response to Sherman's firing is not good folks! Responses range from people calling him a "scapegoat", to the "fall guy" to the calling Philbin spineless and a back stabber. Whaoo!! Haven't we gone through this step before? Didn't they fired Dan Henning years back wasn't the result the same? What we are missing here is a "thorough cleansing."
The team needs a fresh start, the common denominator is still lurking.

Cleanse damn it, cleanse! This rinse, lather and repeat process is not working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

National response, really?

Sherman didnt:

1. Use his TE's to help the obvious defeciencies at the OL. Any friggin coach with a clue would have started using max protect. Im just a guy on the street and I know this. How do I know this? Ive been listening to coaches say it forever since I was in the 2nd grade.

2. Ryan Tannehill was recognized in his first year as being really good when he is outside the pocket. So the man in charge of the offense goes and doesnt do much of any of this. He scored his first TD in his career on a bootleg. No, we can run that stuff anymore, We will just run Thomas, then Clay, then throw a fade to someone not able to go up and get such a ball.

Sherman called some good games. He also did not do anything for the longest time to help our OL deficiencies. We have three TE's who can block. Clay not great, but can if you need him to.

We need someone who will change up some routes instead of the same repetitive crap so that rookie CB's cant jump the route because they watch film and cause us to lose a game we should not have. Some is on QB, but RT obviously knew something just not working for the long term.

Sherman deserved to be fired. He made alot of questionable calls this year. What killed me was his short yardage plays. I mean did we even call one Qb sneak this year?

just dog feeders. thats all.

He also had his QB back in shotgun way too much. Half of RT's game needs to be run from behind center. You know, just like most great QB's do.

When you can watch games and know based on Candace what is coming you know u need a new oc. The thing I don't get is how joe did not come to the same conclusion that we as fans came to. Or he did and it's a bit late for it. Really makes no sense my only thought is that joe just trusted Sherman too much? But I don't know. Seems kind of silly. There are ppl I trust but I don't know if I would let them get my qb killed if I am a coach on any level.

I forget the game but 4th and short they run Clay to the right instead of a quick snap QB sneak... Come on man

hey some guy on radio just called it "cosmetic change".

That's basically what it is. **** face Ross forces Philbin to fire Mr. Go-Go just to save face. If this is the only firing he should be forced to sell the team, he obviously had the football IQ of an unborn child.

I wanted Sherman gone but...

1. Can't run Max protect when none of your TE's can block. Hinders your ability to spread the field on offense. We max protected but it was pointless.

2. Can't bootleg when McKinnie and Clabo can't slide. They would have given up 100 sacks if we bootlegged. Maybe 1-2 times per game, but it would have been destroyed.

That's a good point about the bootlegs but I think we could have found a way to make it work here or there. I don't think Sherman did a good job but he really was hindered by personnel in some respects.

We're the Dolphins. Doesn't much matter what we do, they'll still find something to criticize. Just another normal offseason for us.

And until we start doing things right they will continue to do that. We aren't going anywhere with Ireland and most likely Philbin. If people haven't figured this out yet they are ****ing blind.
