I'm guessing (all I can do at this point) is that Martin complained back in April, in hopes it would all be put to an end, but kept the texts, etc, just in case it didn't.
Since it continued, he has proof of what was going on and I imagine he has proof that he filed a complaint.
Sounds like this was building and possibly Martin's parents told him to keep any proof, otherwise it's all he said vs he said and you got nothing.

Again, some people may like joking around and using racial slurs and joke about harming each others family, that's great, have fun with that.
Just be darn sure the other person feels the same way.
If you are not sure, best to air on the side of caution and not leave VM evidence saying racial/threatening things...just seems to make sense...

The issue at that point would be if he showed the Dolphins brass that evidence at that time. If he did not, Martin only has himself to blame IMO. If he was that concerned, he would have shown the evidence, and if they did nothing he would have gone to the Police.
