This loss is on no one but Joe Philbin

This is hilarious... people are now saying that Phil in plays not to lose every week now when just a couple weeks ago he was criticized for throwing the ball with a lead late in the 4th quarter

I don't know about coaching not to lose every week, but I certainly think he did today.

I blaim our defense which took a crap on the field in the fourth quarter yet again. Gave up 3rd and 4th and long again. I blaim mike sherman because we haven't scored a single pooint in the 4th quarter in what 6 games now.
I do like Philbin there needs to be a learning curve here. Blowing up the front office every 2 years is why we can't sign quality fas. We have no consistancy in this organization and i dont think blowing it up again will help because it hasn't helped in the last decade plus.

I don't know what to think...
Everything is easier looking back, but using all our timeouts and letting them slowly score put us in a real bad spot with no timeouts to try and comeback.

Worst coaching I've seen in a while. Well besides last week and the week before. This guy just can't coach.

Its not any of the players fault when you have a coach telling a Kicker who can't hit inside 40 yards to kick a 53 yarder in a field position game.

It's his fault Sturgis missed? Interesting. Wouldn't he be criticized for not attempting the FG as it would look as if he's saying he knows Sturgis would miss so he doesn't give him a chance?

Then carolina 4th and 10 going for it and you don't call a time out to re group when your players are looking around clueless."

Spot on Dude. These 2 instances you realize Philbin is in over his head, and we need a Head Coach. Oh and more thing, can Pat Devlin throw Deep? Cause Ryan cant...

What really sticks out against this coaching staff is they can't seem to make second half adjustments. Sherman's play calling is comical. Why he continues to have short routes called in third and long situations constantly is a big head scratcher. The fact his son-in law is a QB coach has done nothing but stunt Tanny's growth, as others have pointed out. Finally, Coyle sometimes reminds me of Tom Olivindati's "bend but don't break" defensive philosophy' especially in the fourth quarter of games.

Of course it was correct to call those two timeouts. The Panthers had plenty of time to score and run out the clock. The reason he called the timeouts was so that the Dolphins would have time to win the game after the Panthers tied the game with a field goal. The problem was that the defense failed to hold on third down, allowing that huge gain by Tolbert. If the defense had held, the offense would've had about 1:25 left for a game winning drive.

I was surprised he didn't call timeout on the 4th and 10 because he did use his timeouts on defense against the Colts. And I would have preferred going for it on the 4th and 3 from the Panthers' 36. I think the field goal is the correct call when you have a 6 point lead instead of 3. The chance to make it a 2-score lead cannot be passed up.

Clear sign he has little situational awareness. Calling timeouts during their drive was about as ridiculous as any football I've ever seen.

Sturgis has been trending shaky on long kicks, agree or disagree? And not only that, but the kick only puts us up by 6. A touchdown still wins the game.

Even people who don't watch football easily understand that you don't give the opposition more time at the end of the game to score a game winning TD.

Philbin needs to go, our team comes out flat right out of the half or at the begging of the game (Bills game) almost every week. That's on the coach.

Then you don't tell your defense to let carolina score...

:bobdole:

And we're supposed to take your opinion on coaching decisions seriously?
