I'd like whoever reads this to describe the typical experience watching a Dolphins game.

I'm more comfortable alone without anyone of adverse faith or weak of faith.
I watch alone because people give up too easily on the Phins if they're behind and I'm big on the Power of Belief at work. I don't turn it off until it's completely over.

I don't construct shrines ( I used to place a Miami hat on top of tele.) and I hate food while I'm playing unless if it's a couple of oranges. I feel that any other pleasure dulls my rooting ability.

I will try to avoid arguments / fights before the game.

The phone doesn't get answered and if I know who calls during a game I will deliberately avoid them for some time, knowing that they know when to call and when not to call, with respect to Dolphin's games.

I don't like to get on any one player or become negative during a game and the only thing I consume is a large coffee while watching. Beer or anything else that might impair my intuitive flow - not good.

What's your experience like while watching week in / week out a Miami Dolphins game.

Oh, and I can't forget to include the commercials. Commercials and places they bring you in between play are completely part of it all. Life is great.

OK, tee off.

I prefer to be alone when i watch a game. Because i know i'll say something stupid if im with somone. whether it my girlfriend or just a couple of guys, i know i'll offend someone eventually. I never get on a players case, i generally believe that footballs a tough sport, and that they're doing the best they can. I must admit however, when things go bad, i generally don't watch the rest. But then again, I'm still in high school and staying up late isn't always a good idea. Luckily, and unfortunaly, we don't have any primetime slots this year, so i get to see them all atleast.

I used to be really bad when I was younger. Throwing stuff at the TV, punching walls..you name it. Now, I still care as much, but I realize the game is what it is. Cannot control what happens...

I sit at home on Sundays, full keg in my kegerator, JT jersey on and a Phins visor with my brothers who have season tckets with me. NO fans of other teams allowed. There will be the occasional guest Phin fan. Absolutely no food and no phone calls, unless it's from another Phin fan who wants to ***** about Fiedler's last interception. Usually will listen to the play by play on the radio. And the girlfriend does take a backseat until game is over.:beerbang:

PHINZ RULE!!!

LoL....... Out here it's a pretty big deal, but a much differen't environment than what you just described. My Mom is a HUGE Dolphins fan too, so I usually will go over to her house to watch the games(she's got a big screen and NFL Sunday Ticket) everybody HAS to wear Dolphins apparel or at least be holding something symbolizing the dolphins during the game(my Mom's a little supersticious) and a lot of times we envite people over, the kids know they have to be quiet, and the adults know when and when not to get loud.......Ahh Good Times, CAN'T WAIT!!!

i have no choice but to let the very few in who i know here and one has already been a doplphin fan, one has been converted from the vikes, and the other two belong to the rams and the colts. but again, if they get out of hand, they have to leave. getting out of hand begins with saying anything while the games on. unless if i want to talk. he. the colt fan is a girl so she naturally gets a more hospitable margin of freedom to say what she wants.

if anyone does get out of line i turn to them and while slowly narrowing in on their nose with my forefinger i hiss "no tomfoolery". yeh thats it.

Since this is what we do on away games. I always wear my game worn richie owens jersey (family friend) and my fins hat. I always sit on a certain place on the floor because thats where i sat during the 1st half of the jets monday nite fiasco. (my dad made me go to bed at half time and we ended up loosing as we all kno. My dad watches with me and sometimes my cousins. food is ok as long as it is greasy and fattening. no phone and the gf has to wait until 2 hours after a loss for me cause she knows im in a rage when we lose.

so putting you to bed at half-time caused them to lose? and has he learned his lesson?

LOL, the only thing missing is the weekly sacraficing of a virgin to the football Gods. Dude ya might want to see a shrink.

"The phone doesn't get answered and if I know who calls during a game I will deliberately avoid them for some time, knowing that they know when to call and when not to call, with respect to Dolphin's games." Man I thought I took the game too serious!!

This will be the lamest. I also like to be alone and I like to run back and forth from my computer to post on Finheaven at the commercials.

I am the EXACT same way. Whenever I watch with my dad, if the Phins are behind he will just turn it off with 5 mins left in the 4th. I am like you, I don't turn it off until the time runs out. That is the reason why I watch games alone too.

the phone doesnt get answered to begin with, game or no game. if it's important theyll leave a message.
more specifically, with the phone calls, it does cross my mind that it's purposely done, when somebody calls on a sunday at any time, during a dolphins game. its subtle but it's there.

as for the shrink, haha but true, i just had one terminate treatment for some irrational reason.

I'm usually sittin on the couch, sans family, watching the game. But i always run back and forth to the computer to do a little play by play in the finheaven chatroom for the homies who can't see the game :D

I do some goofy things too.

It all comes down to fans' desire to affect SOME INFLUENCE on something that is wholly out of their control.
