why not both? 6 WRs i not unheard of, especially since one is you main return guy.

Exactly! One of these WR's is our main return guy - how can you count on him at WR all year? Too much risk for injury in an offense that does alot of 3 WR. I believe we will keep 6 BUT my question is do you risk cutting Mann and trying to sign him to the PS? If you look at next year's WR picture who will be signed? Boston, DT, and Gilmore are only signed through this year. We need to keep a couple of young guys for development and while I like Wes - he will not be a #1 or #2 guy. IMO Mann will go to PS - he hasn't shown enough for another team to pick him up especially with so little time after cuts before the season starts. BUT that is risky just to keep an inconsistent DT. I really believe that Booker needs to step up this year to justify his pay and he has the potential to do it.

keep Thompson, cut Gilmore. we would have Chambers, Booker, Boston, Thompson and Welker

damn, i forgot about Welker...

Well, I voted keep both, just because I'm not so sure about Boston's health...I say we keep both or go Chambers, Boston, Booker, Gilmore and Welker....

if I had to choose between Gilmore and Thompson, I'd say Keep Gilmore, he gives us a vertical offense, he can stretch the field with his speed.

Defense shutting down Brady at the end.

And Thompson making an excellent grab for a TD. I'm not basing my judgment on this game of course. But i'll go with Thompson. I like Gilmore, but I think Derrius has more to offer in the long haul. He just needs to catch balls more consistantly. When he does catch them they are usually pretty damn sweet catches.

If we could keep that both though that would be great, I like what both of these guys bring to the table, I like our whole receiving corpse. It's just a shame there's not a qb to get them the ball on a consistant basis.

Name another great play Thompson has had. If we're going to keep Thompson because of that, then we need to keep Feeley because he made the throw.

For the guy who was wondering who the quarterback in the signature was its Omar Jacobs, from Bowling Green.

Well, he's been a little more productive this preseason than Gilmore. We're talking about keeping one of these guys as our 4th WR option. It's pretty silly to make comparisons of our starting QB and our 4th WR.
no yds avg lg td
9 136 15.1 34 1 Thompson
7 94 13.4 26 1 Gilmore

in preseason, take it for what its worth. I think they've both done enough to earn the spot, but i'm not so sure they are both gonna get it which is unfortunate, but if that's the case i'll take Derrius.
