Thoughts On This Play By Tua - Is The Commentator Right?

it doesn't matter. he threw it how he threw it. it was a completion for 29 yards and 1 and 10 in the RedZone. and I'll go the opposite way, if he throws it "farther" and its picked what happens then? every play is not going to be TD and over analyzing every play is just dumb. Again, you have plenty in just this thread that have no idea what their talking about, like "Connor was wide open" yada yada yada
Cool. Don't know why he bothered giving you the password. You contributed nothing. Thanks for clarifying nothing.

Yes, that deep safety was ball hawking. He'd have made a play for the ball if it was anywhere near him. Tyreek was double covered over the top and underneath as usual.

i looked at the play and didn't understand what the hell you all were arguing about. Your arguing about a 29 yard completion based on some dude posting a video he took from his phone while watching on TV trying to prove a ridiculous point to get clicks on his social media accounts

I'm not arguing anything. I'm asking a specific question you're too chicken to answer for some weird reason.

Why did you bother getting the password if you weren't trying to address the question at hand?
So again, thanks for nothing at all.

Ok, I’ll answer. If he throws it farther it absolutely picked and you all are pissed.

Here’s what I mean by the angle, look at this picture and you can see Hamlin defending the seam starting to backpedal, while Reek is running as fast as he can straight down the field:

Now if you look in this still, Reek is already slowing down to adjust to the ball as you can see by how he’s running, but he’s already made it 10 yards further downfield than the first still, meanwhile Hamlin has only made up a few yards of ground:

And look the at the third still and how much room there is still between him and Reek:

So I think a stronger throw there and Hamlin doesn’t have the angle to catch Reek. Thanks for the compliment btw.
To me it looks like Hamlin is starting to turn towards and run at Tyreek in the first still.

It’s 60ft from hash to sideline. Hamlin covered half of that (2nd still) between Tua’s release (or just before) and when the ball was at the 20yd line. A 4.5 40 guy can cover over 12 ft in one second… and that’s from a full stop. Hamlin is about 8-9 yards from Tyreek in the 3rd still. The bottom of the numbers are 9 yards from the sidelines. And Hamlin had the angle. If that ball is thrown much further Hamlin would have had a great shot at breaking it up or intercepting it.

In what world if Hill is still in full stride instead of stopping and turning around does he get caught here?
The real world.

Look, Tyreek may have caught it and juked Hamlin for a TD or Hamlin hits him and he drops it or Hamlin intercepts it.

If you watch the full play run out, Hamlin would have most likely hit Tyreek or intercepted the ball if it was thrown much further.

It's not even close IMO if Hill stays in stride.

If Hill had never broke stride he would have been out the back of the end zone. Plays have to develop though… especially fly routes etc. Tua tried to bait Hamlin with the pump fake, it didn’t really work, so he put the ball over the CB and under the safety. A safety that had the angle and would have hit Tyreek or intercepted the ball if it was thrown much further downfield.

But alas, this doesn’t matter and this will be my last reply in this thread. It’s a bait thread and this is all conjecture because we don’t know what Tua saw, Tyreek saw, or Hamlin saw.
