Throwing in the towel.

for the first time in my life im rooting for my team to lose, it actually is funny. all the obvious reasons have already been stated but im getting a kick out of it. rooting for us to suck is so much more fulfilling because its what we do.

It's amazing how you can follow a team for all these years and then finally get frustrated, you are considered a fair weather fan.
In no way whatsoever is someone who endured 4-12, 6-10, 1-15, 7-9, 7-9 considered "fair weatherfan".. Admittedly I was rooting for Miami to lose this week.. and thankfully they did not let me down.. I shall not be considered a fair weather fan and many can argue those of us that want the team to lose in order to end the mediocrity that is currently the Miami Dolphins, for a better future, are better fans than those that dont.

Me too.. Although for me, its not funny.. It pisses me off tremendously that the current regime has forced me to root against them in order for a better future.. as I said in another thread, they are d**kheads for making me feel this way.

funny in a pathetic, my friends laugh at me kind of way. inside it hurts

Its getting harder and harder to keep my Dolphins trailer hitch on the back of my truck out of pure embarrassment. Its still there, and im fighting the temptation to take it off.

I won't stp watching, but I don't have the emotional attachment that I used to. I no longer countdown the days until the next Sunday nor listen to local sports talk radio.
Kind of an empty feeling. Unfortunately for the NFL I also have lost interest in everything NFL. If the Dolphins aren't even a distant contender then I have no interest in NFL football, period. The last 2 seasons I haven't even paid close attention to the playoffs or SB.

Go ****ing quit and for the others that want to take the cheap way out GO.Quiting is for losers and thats a fact.

CirclingWagons should know all to well about quiting on your team.Just look at the Bills right now looking pretty good hes gotta be very encouraged by the way the Bills have played and to do it with 1 of our ex coaches is even more bittersweet. They have done a complete 360 in about 3 years.

Bunch of ****ing whimps just like half our football team.

Losing a passion for something that repeatedly disappoints isn't wimpy, its a predictable and natural reaction. No one is whining here, just lamenting. You obviously don't know the difference.
If this FO builds a winning product, trust me you will see the stands filled with passionate fans. Most self respecting human beings are not gluttons for punishment.

I could never stop watching the fins either...just too much fun

Wow...1 season with a winning record since 2000 and Bill fans are talking smack after only 3 games. Sadly, I'm jealous. Congrats CW...hope you guys figure out how to outlast the Pats and Jets. Next year, I'll go back to hating you guys again too.

Dude, just admit, the way we've snatched victory from the jaws of defeat since 2009 has got to be pretty entertaining for the rest of the league.. I'd be laughing too, just like I laugh when Bellichek throws the ball repeatedly and let's another team mount a comeback that had no business happening.

I'd be careful. It was about 3 years ago that the Bills started 4-0 and were 5-1 before the wheels came of the circling wagons. 7-9 you ended up.

You should remember who loosened the first nut on those wheels?:chuckle:

I do like that animated gif though. :hclap::up:

Im glad to see someone come in defense of a person thats "thrown in the towel".Thats sir is quiting which is being a fricken whimp or whinning.

This is exactly the reason why Miami Dolphins fans are known round the world as the most fickle fans of all and why Raider or Steeler fans are the most dedicated Fans around the world. Why because no matter what happens through thick and thin they are still a Steeler or Raider fan.

Lamenting my *** and btw Thank you Captain Obvious about the if you put a good team on the field the fans will come back because I live an hour away from Ralph Wilson Stadium and ive seen them through the worst and best of times.
