Tickets Arrived!!! (BUT!!!!!)

i was born in IN, washington. lived in bloomington, jasper, loogootee, speedway when i was younger. always wanted to go to IU never made it up though. love bobby knight

20+ yrs of donning the aqua/orange, only to have seen the games from the "visitors" perspective.
It must be truly awesome, to roll into the home lot of Dolphins Stadium.
One of these days I need to fly my butt out there, and experience first hand, what "Home Turf" is like.
Actually, there were a couple rare occasions, when we literally overwhelmed our opponent's stadium, to an almost homespun atmosphere.
Some years back, when the Chargers suffered the Ryan Leaf meltdown,
their fans, in spotty attendance, must have also appeared shocked beneath their fitted paper bags, to witness a dominant backdrop of aqua and orange sprawling across Jack Murphy Stadium.
As guests, we've typically partied within the limitations, the name would customarily seem to suggest.

In and around our tailgate.

These rules had better be flexible...My group is putting the finishing touches on a trailer with a 55 Gallon drum grill, cooler, garbage, and football/whatever else storage. I have had season tix going on 4 years now and have always admired the trailer grills so I built my own, I never paid attention to the guide that comes with my tix to see if these rules are new or if they have always been written but never enforced!

Tell ya what my trailer and all my $hit will be at the games one way or another! And we will party like always, I will not have everyone in my group under my canopy!

:fire:

I am very suprised by the lack of interest in this thread...I guess alot of people here don't go to games!

I see no problems with the rules, and I will enjoy many a beers in the parking lot, and will welcome any finheaven members to my cooler.

Even us Bills fans?

if some of the tailgaters would regulate themselves more there wouldnt be the need for more rules. Instead you have a bunch of loud abnoxious people taking over the whole parking lot while leaving their trash all over the place.

Responses like these continue to crack me up.

I've been doing this for 10+ years and the keg rule is a dumb one. I see the logic behind discouraginf bottles. No generators is silly. But the one I have the most problems with is the number of people at your party.

No one wants anarchy in the parking lot. We just want to continue to have good clean fun like we've been having for the past however many years.

Well guess what..the parking lot is a PUBLIC PLACE and must partake in actions that are best for teh PUBLIC. Not for a few people who want to get their party on. Just because tickets and parking are $X does not mean you can do whatever you want. If you do not like it, do not attend, it's that simple and that's what they will tell you. It's much like this site, if you don't like the way it is leave. There is no "free speech" here since it is privately run, just like Dolphin Stadium is privately run.

So.... is it a PUBLIC PLACE or a PRIVATE one? In the end, it doesn't matter because one's right to "free speech" is not controlled by whether it is public or private. If someone wants to complain about a policy he/she can do so. If it's privatly owned, the owner(s) can tell him/her where to stick it. If it's publicly owned...well he can stick it wherever he/she wants cause it won't matter either way.

So why don't the parking lot police look for this instead of making us suffer for what some idiots do? I have a seperate 55gal drum for garbage built into my trailer!

I agree the only rule that even makes any sense is the bottle rule, I don't want to run over broken glass. I spend the 4 hours there before the game I want to be comfortable, I'm tailgating not training for wilderness survival!

I know I've never needed a keg at the tailgating, I fly down for a game or two a year from Canada. But never needing the keg is not me saying it shouldn't be there. I love the fact of people drinking out of kegs, just like having big bbq grills. Makes the event have a community feel. I have been welcomed to a few different tailgating events each year I go, from people I don't know. We all had something in common though, I love of football and the Dolphins. Screw the bottles leave the kegs, I always wondered why they didn't have a special section for large tailgating parties. Like some campgrounds, if your there to party they put you in one section and if your there with family and want to chill they put you in the other section. Then they can keep the parties in check but be a little more leniant with the rules. Maybe have a keg section. I will be tailgating at the Falcons game and then the Patriots game the week after, I'm sure I will still be drinking my beer either in a plastic glass or a can. Go Phins Go

...NO Kegs - if found, they will be confiscated and you will be asked to leave. :fire: :
Sounds like a security issue...but the keggers have killed too many brain cells to even think about that. :cointoss:

There is NOTHING wrong with those rules. The parking lot is there TO PARK. Tailgating is something that has come about over years and continues to grow and grow because of technology. You don't need a damn keg, a cooler is fine. You don't need bottles, drink the damn cans for one morning. Also, cans won't shatter and cut tires or people, nor be used as deadly weapons..DUH!! You don't need a damn generator!! PERIOD. You are in a parking lot for a few hours for crying out loud. Many people don't even take a damn generator to go camping!! Limiting party size is common sense, there is no reason for a jamboree in the parking lot where other fans want to park and relax or not partake.

I'm sorry, but the people who like to have a slammin jammin party fest are seriously outweighed by those who just want to have a "good time" and not deal with the circus.

Apparently you have no idea how to damn tailgate. You get 8 games a season and I would damn sure want to take advantage of them in any damn way I please. Those rules are damn stupid. It's called damn freedom and people should be able to enjoy themselves how they damn please.

If that includes breaking the rules & you get tossed, don't be complaining. That attitude is making me sick. Maybe it is so close to my teenage kids attitude that they're gonna do whatever they want to do no matter what the rules are that pisses me off. Sorry to flame.....

I have been doing what I am gonna do for years, I sit in the lower bowl and purchase a parking pass and pay good $$$ to do so...If I want to have a large grill on a trailer and drink beer from a keg behind my truck, I don't see a major problem
