Tight Ends Making the roster?

I'm becoming more and more of a Diamond fan. Of course I am tempering my enthusiasm just a bit as this IS just preseason but he has been looking very good as a 2-way (blocking and catching) TE.
I agree. It is too early to compare him to McMichael, however if the kid Diamond shines throughout the year, and McMichael demands huge money, who knows, maybe the Dolphins let him go. I am not saying that will happen, i am just saying if the kid has an outstanding year, and makes the team first, it could be a thought in Nick's head!

agreed...I think that Randy has the talent to be the best TE in the NFL but is he doesn't get his private life settled AND decides after the season to seek a contract in the Tony G., Heap, Gates range then we should likely put the tag on him and trade him away for just a 1st rounder...or 2nd depending on the demand for him. Heck, even if he asks for the amount that Franks just got up in GB we shouldn't pay it, even though I'm postitive that Randy's better than Bubba.

I heard Donald Lee just got contacts. Couldn't see the ball before. See what happens last two games.

I don't think it's the contacts or lack of contacts that cause him to jump off-sides so often.

I think if Lee gets cut he will be one of the of those players that will be very good for another team one day

Considering how many double TE sets this one back offense is going to run, a blocking TE is an extremely valuble asset.

It will be interesting to see how Rader, Holmes, and Lee do tomorrow in the game. I like what the kid, Diamond brings to the game.

Holmes has told me personally that he's out until the Falcons game. Unfortunate considering he's a reasonably long-shot to make the roster anyway. My opinion is that he'll make the practice squad and then eventually prove himself from there. He really is a very talented man and a really nice guy.

McMichael, Diamond, Lee.
Ed Perry on Special Teams as the primary long snapper.

I didn't really see anything special with Rader except in the HOF Game, anyone wanna clue me in on anything else?
