Tim Bowens Gone/waived!!!!!!! (merged)

We have thought this would happen for awhille. Now that he has retired officially I definetly think we will go after Manuel Wright in the Supplemental Draft.

Anyone here think this release was to clear some cap space for a corner, maybe someon named RWM? Just a thought!

Read the dang thing. It's procedural cause he's injured right now. He's retiring as soon as the procedures are wrapped up.

Tim was the epitome of a team player and he will be missed.

THANKS for EVERYTHING Timbo!
You will be greatly missed......hope u enjoy retirement and some much needed rest. :couch2:

Timbo we are in your debt, thanks for the great years you gave us as fans.

Nah, they won't retire his jersey, but he deserves a spot in the ring of honor along with Taylor, Thomas, and Madison when they're done.

Yeah, maybe retiring his jersey was going a little far. But he shoould go into the ring of honor.

C ya big guy well all miss ya, thanx for the many years of bieng a bad mofo. May he be placed in the Ring of Honor.

Thanks Timbo...for the pay cuts and the hits you took. And for playing tough for all of your years as a Fin. You'll be missed by all.

#95 in the Ring of Honor!

Thanks for all your hard work TimBo. I remember alot of people said you were a reach on draft day, but you proved them all wrong. You were the last DT to every win the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

Sad he goes out on a low note, but he was arguably the best DT in Fins history.

The quiet giant goes out. It sucks. He's not even that old is the worst part but the back injury just kept on getting worse...

Timbo has always been a respected class guy. I will miss you Timbo, and you will be the last Dolphin to wear #95.

I don't know about the Jersey # being retired, but he should be in the Ring of Honor.

Very admirable career, and person based on comments from teammates. As KB correctly pointed out, Timbo displayed quite a bit of burst and disruptive ability as a rookie, perhaps more than any widebody DT in team history. I wish we would have utilized that more especially before the back woes took over.

Well it was only a matter of time. TimBo was one of the most loyal players on this team by far. It's going to be tough to let him go, but I think it was the right decision. TimBo has a great career here in Miami and will be greatly missed. I've grown so much respect for this guy, he was the definition of a TEAM player and it just showed everytime he restructured his contract in order to help the team out. The guy just wanted to play football. He was a huge part of our Defense and made the Defense better especially Zach Thomas, and I think he's going to miss Timbo a lot as well Larry Chester. TimBo had a great career here, he was a: Defensive Player of the year, Pro Bowler, and the only player remaning of the Shula era. It's going to be tough to see him go. I really don't think we'll ever see his number retired, but it would be an honor if he were to make the Ring Of Honor. Amazing career. He will be greatly missed.
