He's a great coach. We should hire Mike Shula to be our HC next year.

Compared to Philbin, he would be an upgrade.
No rockstar coach would work for Ross. Have you all forgotten this? Let's think about the suggestion before it is dismissed.
Shula is a pretty good coach. He has paid his dues. As a fall back option, I would consider him.
 
I actually like the idea! He may be able to bring in some good people and hopefully be the coach his dad was plus he has coaching experience and was once a qbs coach with us I believe! Couldn't be any worse!
 
Serious question, can someone actually tell me why this is such a terrible idea and worth blasting the op over? Now I'm not saying we should do it, I agree based on his credentials alone he's not an obvious choice or a slam dunk, but why is he so bad? He was instrumental in cam newtons early development and success and even managed to win a game while making derek anderson look respectable this year, add that with the dolphins lineage and good mojo and I think he's at least a candidate to think about (if we indeed come to that point down the road) personally I kinda like the poetic symmetry of it all
