Put it this way: If all of you are right and feel Gus and AJ are just as likely to lose the game, eliminate all the physical attributes, who do the players want to start? (Gus) Who knows the offense better? (Gus)

WHAT??

ok im done posting on this thread..

One Carry. Two yards. That makes me feel so much better knowing Feeley can scramble and avoid blitzes. "EASILY", too, I might add.

finsletmedown: tell me what you have seen from feeley which says, he has earned the starting job, hands down.

Wrong. If they are both as likely to lose, then you go with the guy who is younger (AJ), who has more unrealized potential and is not on hte decline (AJ), the guy who was the starter last year and lead a team to a .500 record in his second stint as a starter (AJ).

If Gus is playing worse than Feeley and the only thing you can come up with is he knows the offense better than start AJ. Given playing time AJ will learn the offense just as well and since he's outplaying him already should be able to seperate himself even more. As for who the players want its more important who the coach wants. And Saban already has said the situation is still up for grabs

Hopefully, our running game will be so dominant that neither one of them will have to throw the ball and as much as I hate Gus and think hes a loser, I think hes more poised in the pocket, smarter, and will be less likely to risk committing a turnover.

In other words, given Gus' knowledge of the offense and his veteran status, and given feeley's history of turnovers, the job is Gus' to lose. Have any of you seen ANYTHING from Feeley which makes you say, Feeley has earned the starting job????????????
Yes, it was his to lose, and no one has beaten him out of it.

When a twelve year veteran with two years in the same system can't make this a no brainer, then the career back-up needs to be the back-up. If Feeley were the one with two years experience in this system gus's name would never be mentioned.

Perfectly said. I would rather see AJ whom I believe has the potential to lead this team to 10-6 and the playoffs. As I see it right now, Our D looks awsome. We will be a top 10 D no doubt IMO. As long as we can score 20 points a game, we will win at least 10 games. I believe with AJ we have a better chance to score 20 than with Gus. Either way may the best QB start come week 1, say what you want, but RIGHT NOW the best choice is AJ.

Agreed. I must be a glutton for punishment because I keep opening these threads and reading them.
From now on I solemnly swear that I will no longer read any threads with Feeley/ Frerotte in the title.

The play I'm talking about, he threw the ball away. I don't know what you're looking at.

Ive never said that he has earned the job hands down nor do i feel that way, i just want Saban to give Feeley one more opportunity Start b4 he names the starting QB

Its impossible, it's just too tempting to read the back and forth arguments :rofl3:

Do you realize A) The majority of Feeley's "completions" were under 10 yards. B) The fact that his throws were short eliminated his major weakness, that is, dealing with the blitz C) Gus' pocket awareness is light years better than Feeley's cuz he can actually "feel" the pass rush, as was evident in his bomb to chambers 60+ yards. D) Give Gus credit for McMichael's EASY three drops, 2 of the 4 incompletions to Chambers (to be conservative) and one to Booker down the sidelines near the endzone, and we are now looking at 200 yards with comparable completion percentage ANDDDDDDDD points on the board. If none of that was enough to convince you, just look at the last play of the first half with Feeley. That play was quite frankly one of the most embarrassing things the Dolphins have ever done, even more embarrassing than the false start last year on "everyone but the center". Gus is our man.

AGREE 100%

Ok I see I have all you Feeley supporters gathered here, how about this: Do you want Feeley to start next week against Tampa? And REGARDLESS of how he does, do you want him to keep starting? Because put it this way, WHOEVER STARTS AGAINST TAMPA THIS WEEK WILL START WEEK 1. I CANNOT see Saban changing QBs after the Tampa game again. Agree on that????

Yes I do agree, UNLESS there is a huge difference in performances
