To everyone who hopes we get bumped from the playoffs...

I still want playoffs. Take what you can, when you can.

how do you know that? Weve beaten 3 out of the 5 teams already in the playoffs. Weve played pretty much every team close except the saints and the game today. Stop being so irrational.
 
I'm not going to question their fanhood, but I'm just gonna say that they're being a bunch of pansy ass bitches. "I can't cheer for this team anymore", "I'm tired of being disappointed," "Go Baltimore! End our misery"... ****ing pansies.

It was a horrible loss. BUT THAT'S THE GODDAMN NFL!!! What separates us from the elite teams right now are winning these games. We've won games we shouldn't have win, we've lost games we shouldn't have lost. But you know what? This season is a ****ing step forward. This bull**** of people saying "Oh, so you're happy being mediocre." NO! But this is a step towards hopefully getting out of mediocrity. Get in to the playoffs and ****ing see what happens!!! We've beaten some quality teams this year, we can be teams like them again. Any given Sunday. I don't care if we probably aren't going to win the Super Bowl. I wanna see Dolphin Playoff Football for once and see how the team will handle it. I want to SEE what happens. Not settle for what we think will happen.

You don't want the Dolphins to make the playoffs? If you have a somewhat decent reason, like Ireland gone, or Sherman or Philbin replaced... fine. I'll give you that. But if you want the Dolphins out of the playoffs out of spite and disappointment, then ****ing shame on you. Sure you're a fan. You're just a ***** of a fan.

Listen, we are all mad. We are all disappointed and annoyed, but there is no reason, none at all, when we are still fighting here (as unlikely as it is), that you are ACTUALLY ROOTING AGAINST US. So someone died and made you the arbiter of what constitutes a good fan, eh? And you also get to decide who loves this team! Wow!!! That's a lot of hats you bought at the dollar store.

But while you're looking down your sanctimonious nose, you might consider whether you, yourself, actually contributes to the cause of the very problem about which you're complaining. You don't simply accept mediocrity, you wholeheartedly embrace it to the point where you see those who express their frustrations with mediocrity as being problematic. Stephen Ross loves fans like you. He doesn't have to do much to please you. I'm sure every year you follow the draft, look up all the players, and convince yourself that we just had the best draft we've ever had. And every preseason you think this is the year we're finally going to take the division and go to the playoffs. And every loss is somehow the fault of the refs, or the other team cheating, or a vast conspiracy league-wide to keep the Dolphins down. So yeah, Stephen Ross loves you. He can serve you up a big turd on a plate and you'll smile and tell him that he's a wonderful chef and how these are the best brownies you've ever tasted. In the meantime, you do nothing that actually pressures Ross to improve the team because you embrace the same turd year after year after year. But here's what I don't understand... you disparage critics of a performance as bad as today's, and in the process make it abundantly clear that for you, the on-field product isn't what's important. And if wanting successful play on the field isn't what motivates you, what does? Are you merely in love with the team's colors? Are dolphins your favorite animals? Did your first kiss happen in Miami?

Bottom line: People are going to express their frustrations when they root for a team like this one. And you're free to disagree with them. But unless you own this board, you don't get to tell people what they can or cannot post here.

just because someone doesnt complain like a whiny little bitch doesnt mean they like or embrace mediocrity. Theyre just not a whiny little bitch.
 
I'm not sure how any true fan can hope against making the playoffs. While this game is a set back, it's not the end of the world. Making the playoffs is special and anything can happen. I am shocked at those who supposed fans who wish we don't make the playoffs in order for more shake up on our team. Do you always throw the baby out with the bathwater? Today was a stepping stone, one of which we failed badly. But the season isn't over. Our chances are still there.

We're a team in motion, one that is building towards what could be something special. Rebuilding yet again should not be an option when we have a damn good nucleus and a good coach with a vision. While this team still needs help at certain positions I believe our gm and coaching staff can find and develop them in order to make a team that can challenge for a super bowl.
