Alonzo Mayes wasn't even all that talented when he wasn't overweight.

And Randy McMichael will probably play out the year he has left on his contract, and then he will be franchised. After that, I am guessing traded.

In my opinion Heap is the BEST tight end in football WHEN HEALTHY.

He is easily top 5 regardless of his oft-injured status.

I'd take Heap over McMichael in a heartbeat.

I know I'll get panned for that....just being objective. Heap does'nt drop passes after whining about not getting the ball enough.
 
Why would you get "panned" for that? I said it a couple hours before you, and nobody said anything :)

I would take Heap over McMichaels any day of the week myself.

Either way, we have a pretty darn good one in McMichaels he just needs to be more consistant and start worrying about actually catching the ball. He has trhe same problem as Chambers. They just seem to lose focus and become inconsistant while dropping passes.

Once they gain their focus then you will see something special in Miami.
 
I think Crumplers contract last year set the market for Randy. Randy should get a little less though imo because he hasnt made a pro bowl or been as consistent
 
Heap may be potentially better...but, he can't find the field. Randy knows where the field is and will have a great season, which, is why he will get a good deal at the end of the season. There is a lot of talk about Chambers #'s being down because of a lack of QB. How about Randy? When things get opened up he will do much better.
 
Randy is a good TE, saying that we cannot afford to break the bank on him either. IMO I don't think Randy will ask to be the highest paid TE or anything crazy like that.....I just think we need to be fair with him and everything will work out.
