Todd McShay has us taking Marqise Lee @ 19

:lol2:

What a great description, I assume you spelled it wrong by mistake but it works well! I agree with those needs as well just have to see how things shake on draft day, would like to trade down just not sure we will have a partner, if one of the top OL is still there it will be interesting to see which way we go.

Haha it was a mistake at first...noticed and figured it was most accurate.

I disagree that WR is a position of strength. We don't know how Gibson will play after the injury, Matthews has yet to prove he can be a reliable starter, and Hartline spends more time on the ground than standing once he has the ball in his hands.

I do agree though that guys like Lee and Cooks don't look substantially better than Robinson or Adams. I wouldn't mind XSF and Robinson but I also wouldn't mind Beckham and James. Shazier would be a dream, but I remain convinced he will be long gone.

It's bull**** the way Hartline gets slammed on this board, our most reliable, consistent pass catcher. Compared to other positions we're deeper at WR....I'd be entirely comfortable with Rishard as our #3 receiver, if you're worried about Hartline falling down all the time Rishard looks great with the ball in his hands. Gibson has had a huge amount of time to recover and was extremely productive early last season. If I'm deciding between upgrading on Wheeler or Gibson/Matthews, I'm taking the former. Same goes for OL. The value for a guy like Lee vs Martin/Shazier/Mosley/XSF isn't significant enough for me.

Brian Hartline is the best receiver on the team

You guys are overrating Lee.

Not sure about that but a guy who can return Kicks, stretch the field, play in the slot, pretty much line up any where and play.. Overrating? Maybe.. Kinda reminds me of a young Boldin..

Just my 2 cents; I hope we take the BEST playermaker availible in the first round, then worry about linemen. We picked up a couple linemen Albert, Fox & Smith in free agency and may another after the draft. Plus this draft is said to be deep with good lineman. Please go with BPA in round one.

Last night heard Mayock say Lee is slipping down draft boards.

I can't remember too many good WR's coming out of USC that have been very successful. More bad than good.

Man.

I remember Lee was a top 10 lock about a year and half ago.

Injured season at USC, crap QB play and all the drama dropped him like a rock.

Lee can certainly locate the ball in the air

I think we need Play-makers rds 1 and 2 and (especially so if we go trade down) There are plenty of starting calibre RTs - ito be found in the 3rd

I imagine we trade down with SF and go WR and Tre Mason/RB and TE/RG in 2nd all before rd 3 and go RT in the third....

Money!

Very torn here will we really be able to get a long-term starter impact player round 3? What this really comes down to is how good of a job Hickey can do on draft day. Its possible maybe just numb after what we have gotten from some of the last few drafts

IHHO More likley to find that RT in rd three than a productive WR...

Draft is loaded with RTs not fit for a 2nd or third rd pick -
