no that's Ireland's 3rd for a real GM's 22ndNo, not a 3rd overall for the 22nd overall. Not unless more assets are coming. That's assuming I'd want to trade him.
With that said, no thanks. I say we keep him.

love the prospect of Dion Jordan. Love. The kid could be a terror one day. The kid was a rocket out of the corner on a couple of plays. You could instantaneously see the potential there.
He doesnt belong on this team. Jordan was a reach that shouldve never been made and i am willing to bet there will not be another #1 on the table for years to come. And thats on an "if".
What some of you are telling me is he is here. We have to deal with it. He could be a Jason Taylor some day. I am overreacting. But some of you are the fans who, and please forgive me, were actually happy with the Jordan pick. And again, please forgive me as i am only being honest- an incredibly stupid pick and even dumber trade. It wouldve been anidiotic pick at 12.
If this offer was a reality, i dont need to deal with it. This team doesnt need a "maybe" Jason Taylor someday right now. Its not overreacting to get a first round pick in trade for a mistake (mistake for our team perhaps mot a mistake of talent).
Someone mentioned Jason Taylor took 3 years. That wouldnt happen to be 3 years in which we were sure-bet post season teams, were they?
Those who accepted and even reveled in the Jordan pick are hypnotized by the glitter, slap-jawed by the fairy dust, enthralled by the shiny toy. DE makes a team a perennial contender?
You have the greatest example in your own :edit: division :edit: and you haven't the common sense to learn from it. And the beauty is you cannot debate me on the following: Tom Brady wins championships. Tom Brady. Not his defense, he wins when they are bad. Not his receivers, he wins with no-names. Not stars, he wins when they are injured. Hes had a hell of an offensive line and hes a very good QB. Dont tell me hes great. Dont tell me hes spectacular because the only season he was Peyton Manning outrageous was with Randy Moss.
Well, we have a very good QB. And we dont have an offensive line. And you guys, you guys want defensive ends. You want safties. You want tight ends. And Im crazy.

I say we keep Jordan, then move up this year to get clowney!

yeah trade our whole draft and next years to get clowney...another over hyped de.
All of this talk that Dion Jordan is a bust is premature. Let him put on 15 to 20 lbs of muscle in the off-season and let's see what we've got. I still think that he is built just like Jason Taylor and after year 1 you probably would have traded JT for a turkey sandwich.
Philadelphia Eagles have the most sophisticated analysis of players. I have no doubt that they would have taken Jordan if we hadn't traded up. The irony in all this would be if Jordan turns out to be a top player and be Ireland's long term legacy. Sort of analogous to Calvin Johnson being drafted by Matt Millen in Detroit.
Right now Jordan is a project that is barely seeing the field. If we can get a first round pick for him that can help team now. Because thats what you want are guys that can contribute now. If they are first rounders. There is no guarantee that Jordan fits that ever in our defensive scheme! I think with 2 first round picks would help o line quite a bit.
The problem is some people think because we overdrafted him we have to get that level of pick. The truth is no team is giving up a top 10 pick to get friggin Deon Jordon. Hell last year the raiders took a fairly low ball offer to get him
