Tom gamble wants dion Jordan in philly

I don't know if he was going to take him with that pick but Im sure anytime you have a player you have coached for years and he is a draft consideration there is emotional involvement.
I mean if he is there and you pass on him, some people assume u didn't feel he was that good when you may have had to make a difficult choice and choose the other guy. He may have very well wanted to take him, I don't know and I have stated that. The price was not high in my opinion if he thought he was a cant miss player. I trade that third all day if Im convinced that Jordan is the next Jason taylor.
You tell me you wouldn't have traded our third rounder in 2011 to trade up 4 spots to get JJ Watt
I would trade up for either player, Kelly doesnt follow that philosophy.
As far the Jordan pick went, as I remember, the Dolphins waited for most of the 15 minutes and turned the card in at the last second. IMO, the Eagles gambled(pun intended) that the Dolphins wouldn't move up. Having Johnson, a tackle that fit their scheme, as a fallback helped

well Im sure Oakland looked for the best deal. So Im sure they wasn't taken by total shock. If Im the Eagles I don't make that trade either because Jordan was not worth that pick but Im sure to many people he was.
Jordan did not impress me in his play this year. He played like 42 percent of snaps in a game early when Wake was hurt so injury had little to do with his playing time during year esp since he was being used on special teams. Im pretty sure you don't use injured players on special teams. The one game Wake missed was New Orleans and the team went with Shelby over the third pick in the draft that tells me they didn't feel he was at that level at that time. When Derrick Shelby is getting 15 more plays a game than your third pick in the draft there is an issue.

I believe the reason for limiting him this year was due to liability against the run, not injury. That would explain the role on special teams, as it can help you become more physical and also showcase Jordans speed.

Most definitely agree.

I would trade Jordan for the Eagles 1st rounder in a heartbeat. We have too many needs to fill and need impact players right away, not projects.
