Tom Gamble

Apologies to Datruth, I meant to thumbs up on previous page
Can't type correctly on my phone

The problem is many are believing the speculation from the media as if it was fact. They believed that Miami would be going after Mangini as GM, or Pioli, or Tannenbaum, or Gamble when the organization issued no such statement so when the names they initially heard from the media aren't mentioned by the club somehow the club is at fault and they're lying and looking for a yes man and blah, blah, blah. Seriously, the hate being spewed right now is unwarranted. You want to mad at someone get mad and the people putting out the false reports and trying to pass it off as fact.

Like La Confora saying we're going after Gamble because Ross still wants Harbaugh or Armando Salguero trying to scare everyone into thinking we're really interested in Mangini, Tannenbaum or Pioli for GM because he's upset Ireland was fired. If some of you would display a little patience and let the process unfold you'll see the truth revealed instead of jumping to conclusions or falling for the opinionated reporting by the media trying to pass it off as facts.

lol so finfan54's motivation revealed. Now I know why he's spewing all this garbage out.

Circling the wagons. Thats all your doing. Time will tell.

Enjoy your new situation. I will be watching with disgust.

I wasnt defending Ireland. I was for defending my soon to be 3rd year QB to have some continuity in order to get to the next level.

Your 3rd year QB would have been eating through a straw next season, if ireland had another crack at the OL.

It's not the candidates that upsets me, it's the process. I can't believe smart people on this board actually think this is a normal situation! I bleed aqua and orange but I think we are so used to dysfunction that you guys don't notice this!

It's not a normal situation to set up a bunch of interviews and then begin a few days later?

I personally prefer this to the mess of spend weeks courting Jeff FIsher and not even scheduling other interviews until after he turned us down.

It's possible Jason Cole was just flat out wrong and there is no interest in Gamble.
Josh I believe there is lets throw these names out there and see who sticks kind of reporting right now in the local media.

Bro if I may let's see what happens. Keep the faith that we get an upgrade at the GM/OC positions in the organization.

It wouldn't surprise me that they reached out to Gamble and he privately declined the interview. So they never "publicly" asked to interview him.

It has nothing to do with our situation, but Gamble, the son of the former president of the Eagles, grew up around the team.
Clearly there is a sentimental attachment to Philly.

He will probably stay there for a few years

No, I'm waiting to see how the situation plays out and then I will enjoy MY new situation.

In the meantime feel free to pick any of the other 31 teams as your new favorite and find their fan board and talk to them about how Ireland would be a good hire.

I wasnt defending Ireland. I was for defending my soon to be 3rd year QB to have some continuity in order to get to the next level. But based on what we have heard these past few days, there is a lot more here than meets the eye.

So love your half measure Spesh. Awesome.

Wonder what the players are thinking when they read this ****. I cant say if I were RT, I would be sitting there thinking things are looking up.

But we will see Spesh. We will see. Just how good of candidates we get in here, and just how much someone who has any track record of success will end up here. Not feeling good about it. Sorry. Its how I feel. It has nothing to do with Ireland. In fact, Ireland is probably feeling like a very free man these days. Good for him. They rubbed him out. Mr. Ireland, bad guy. Very bad man.

Of course your not feeling good about our chances. We just fired the guy you thought was the most qualified person to run this franchise. Now everything is awful and we are doomed and this franchise has totally fallen apart. We get it.

And  at the Tannehill fear mongering. You supposedly want to keep Ireland for Tannehill's development. So i guess that means you want another year of crap offensive line and mediocre weapons. You should just cut out the middleman and say you dont want Tannehill to succeed, because Ireland has shown he cant provide what quarterbacks need to grow. Legedu Naanee proved that.

So no, your not defending Ireland at all. You were just preaching the gospel of patience and consistency before the afternoon of the 7th and youve been screaming the sky is falling since the evening of the 7th. Its simply a total coincidence that Ireland was fired around the time your feelings took a sudden twist. Right, sounds legit, im totally convinced.

We can speculate and await the next twitter or crush/hit piece by the media, but in the end it will be about money and control. This will take a few weeks to sort itself out. The good thing is that Ireland is finally gone and there are multiple good quality candidates. I am convinced that Ross had already leashed Aponte and explained the new structure to both Philbin and Aponte. If they can't deal with the new reality, they can walk out the door. I believe Ross has finally taken control in a more ruthless and decisive manner. Finally.

Look people,

I understand politics. Its a nasty world.

People will think I am defending Ireland, but I am just sick to my stomach in what I believe is happening to this franchise.

people want to take sides? fine. Thats not my angle here. My angle is be careful about who you think is the evil one, you just might be surprised one day to find egg on your face.

If people cannot read what is going on here, I dont know what to tell you. Everyone is overjoyed for getting rid of Ireland. Well, who's next? Who in their right mind or any serious candidate for this job wants this situation?

Anyone with cojones enough to know they will succeed.

You're part of the problem angle or not. I am not attacking you. My meaning is that all of this negativity is why someone would want to turn away from the job. There are only 32 positions of this magnitude and not even that many considering power structures like the Cowboys.

In other words, its not the position, its the fear of the media one may be associated with thats becoming the issue. And who's to blame? Not even hacks like Armando and the rest are to blame. Any idiot with a twitter account is a reporter now. Any text of speculation and hearsay is news now. Technological advances- take the good with the bad.

You have no idea what really happened. You havent the slightest clue if Ireland pulled Aponte aside and told her im your boss so shape up before i investigate your mom for prostitution and embarrass you and your grandmother on HBO. The very smae as i do not know if Aponte really is twiddling her fingers together hashing conspiracies with an evil expression on her face.

What do we know? One, " Teacher! Teacher! That kid is over there saying mean things about the other children" and today's media going "Miami Dolphins plus their recent past plus current tattle-tailing - IT MUST BE A TMZ MELTDOWN! Jackpot."

You drink from the well and tada, our current situation. Its sad and ridiculous all at the same damn time.

Sheesh for once I'm going to agree with Omar on something...

Fans will pick out a name they like, convinced themselves that that person is the savior, and refuse to look at other candidates.

While a great candidate Tom Gamble is not the only candidate out there.

Happens during the draft too. A lot.

Im not trying to jump in the middle of someone else spat here, but thats the biggest load of Bull $hit I have heard ! Sure your defending Ireland and I see that clearly just looking in !

Irelands a douchebag who's @$$ should have been fired 2 years ago,but as I said,I even kept trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, although I dont know why,the dumass kept releasong good players to go elsewhere to be stars, while swapping set's of linebackers here in lateral moves and asking possible draft choice's if there momma was a whore basically, to one screw up after another, including going several YEASR with a TERRIBLE OFFENSIVE LINE and doing nothing to fix it,whether it was him evaluating the talent or his people,he had the final say and he SUCKED AT IT,hell yeah Im glad we FINALLY RUBBED his @$$ out to !! I wishI had a godfather GIF to illustrate my point even more !

And he should be feeling good,he got tons of money for all those screw ups ,I hope he does feel free and goes to the Patriots,JETS or Bills and screws them up like he did us, I have just had it with people on here who after ALL these YEARS and chances to FIX the O-Line and this team,he has CONTINUALLY FAILED and done nothing to truly upgrade this team ! Be GONE Jeff, and take any supporters you want with you, I'll continue to pull for the DOLPHINS team and believe who-ever we bring in,ANYONE we bring in,WILL BE better than pissy IRELAND !

Gamble's dad is reportedly in hospice care.. he left SF to move back to NJ to be with him, and took a job with Philly.. can't fault him for not running off to talk to Miami.. seems to be good at evaluating players... and even better at being a loving son
