Coach Tony Sparano expressed a level of disappointment at his daily press conference Wednesday that this week’s season opener will be played at 7 o’clock Monday evening rather than 1 o’clock Sunday. That could be perceived as a dig at owner Stephen Ross, who has made it clear he has had fans’ comfort in mind in scheduling the Dolphins early-season games be played in the evening....

For once I agree with Tony. All home games in Miami during September and October need to be at 1pm unless they're nationally televised games. Stephen Ross is more worried about making money than giving the Dolphins an advantage. I like seeing other teams in their color jerseys dying on the sidelines, having heat strokes with all the giant fans on them lol
 
Well I like home and away game to be at 1 every Sunday, I hate to wait the whole day for a Dolphins game.
 
like back in the '70s with the heat bouncing off that turf in the orange bowl!!
 
Fans will come to the games if the Dolphins are winning. Wouldn't you want to give your team any possible edge to win including making teams play in the South Florida heat in September and October. This is one thing I could never understand him wanting to change.
 
i like night games on primetime. 1 o'clock games are cool too. but i wouldnt over-estimate it. we have the texans during the day.
 
LOL I remember that game back in 2006 when the Fins were playing the Packers, Farve looked like Doctor Octopus!!! The Pack had these weird tube vacumes hooked up all over them, HILARIOUS!!
 
I don't care when they play, I wish football wasn't so dangerous (injury and fatigue wise) for we can watch them play 7 games a week. Regardless, every team should be ready to play on any conditions and time.

Yeah this sucks....watching everyone else's team on Sunday play while we have to wait until 7:30 pm monday night. Only thing I like about this MNF games is I get to watch the game in it's entirety. Could be worse...Miami could have gotten the 10:30 pm MNF game with Greenie and Mike Golic...*shudder*
 
Those 1PM road games kill the other team. Mist fans, oxygen masks, cooling systems through their pads, shade on the benches while the Dolphins' players are just lounging about.
 
I am glad Tony is calling out Ross.

Ross is a complete loser for an owner.

Between the 1pm games and forcing the team to go see a play, he sucks as an owner.

Get the heck out of the way, Ross. IF you want your stadium filled....have a winning team.
