Currently it's the best depth at WR we've had since Ingram and those guys we're roaming the field (what was that, the mid to late 90s or was it early 90s? yeesh).
All that said....if they offered holdout Simon for either guy ....I'd do it in a heartbeat(provided he agreed to a show up before hand) but we all know that's not going to happen.
so again...I don't want to trade Booker right now unless it's for Simon. Not very likely.

Jimmy James said:This team has no business trading away the strength of this offense for anything other than an overwhelming offer. Booker is a first round talent, but there would be no reason to trade him for that because we need him. Boston is going to be a role player, not a starting calibur WR. The same goes for Thompson and Gilmore. In order to see what AJ or Gus can do, they need to have targets to throw to.
Jimmy James said:Your belief is wrong. He was unhappy to be away from his family, and he was unhappy that he was betrayed by the Bears. Marty Booker was the type of player before the trade who would rework his deal or take a little less in a deal to stay a Bear for life. Don't dare mistake that laudible sort of loyalty for disloyalty to the Dolphins. If the team shows him that they can be trusted (by not shopping him for one), he'll be that same player for us. As it is, he did very well on the field for the chaotic situation he was brought into.

My advice to you is to stop being a hypocrite. You engaged in the same sort of analysis in your thread about Booker. The biggest difference is that there are actual news stories to back up what I said (they have been linked here) while there is nothing in print I'm aware of that backs your claim he'd rather be on the Bears bus Monday night.

If Boston and Thompson pan out. It would be ok.

About 90 minutes before the Bears traded Marty Booker
and a third-round draft pick for Ogunleye, Ogunleye's
agent, Drew Rosenhaus, sent word through the media
that the sides were too far apart and predicted the
deal would collapse. By then, Rosenhaus knew the Bears
could not allow that to happen. Booker had all but
guaranteed Bears managementâ€â€and certain members of the
Chicago mediaâ€â€that he would not show up at practice
Monday if the deal fell through. "That'd be too tough
for someone to come back and be dedicated after being
told they didn't fit into the team's plans, wouldn't
it?" Booker said.

DBoston80 said:ok well why not defend everyone with the same passion as you have Booker?? If your a dolfan first then why pick and choose?? And for the record my thread was based on the feeling he gives me when I see him play...It seems like he is lackadasical sometimes...

If we can get a 1st or multiple pick and or players, it would be worth it IMO. I would not want to trade him for a low 2nd and that be it.
