Trade for Peyton?

For those fans who quite don't understand Manning's injury ... I'd suggest researching "Cervical Spinal Fusion" and "Degenerative Disc Decease" ... It will help getting you to understand Why Manning is a Risk!!!

Provided he is released, and we get a coaching staff that he would like to work with, then I am all for it. But if we don't get a coaching staff that he likes, then expect him to goto the Jets. Or maybe Arizona. Never know.

For the 1,000,000,000,000th time, PEYTON CANNOT BE TRADED!! He has to be cut or he stays with Indy. TRADE is impossible! Cant' happen. No chance of happening.None. Nada. Nilch. ZERO! Will not occur!

Sorry. Sheesh.

Why is trade impossible though? I understand that it is unlikely due to cap restrictions but why impossible? Is there a clause in his contract or something?

Anyways, even better if he is cut. I'm a large admirer of him and a healthy Peyton could get us to the big game.

Just - please God/Tebow - do not let the same doctor who examined Brees examine Peyton!

his roster bonus of $28 mill is due before the NFL allows trades to occur. They either cut him or keep him. NO TRADE!

If Peyton pushes back the roster bonus date, in return he will be sure he gets to pick his next Home. And he ONLY does that with the understanding that ifthe Colts decide to go with Luck, he gets cut and is allowed to pick his new home. Once again, NO TRADE

This thread seems like it gets started every couple of days, no offense. To answer your question though, I do not personally think it wise to trade anything for an aging QB who has had neck problems to the extent that he missed a full season.

None taken! I knew what I was getting myself into when I started this thread.

But like I said, hypothetically what would be the price?

I understand that the neck injury is a serious deterrent, but Peyton hasn't shown any other signs of slowing down. He still has good years left in him if the injury is surmountable. We would be contenders year in and year out, with two games a year displaying a showdown between two of the greatest QBs to play the game (Brady, in case you were wondering Junc. Not Sanchez :3w:).

I understand what you're saying. My contention, however, was with your use of the word 'impossible'. You should probably look it up in Webster's before you throw it around like that again. 'Improbable' or 'unlikely' would have better suited your argument. Cheers.

Not it actually is IMPOSSIBLE!

if Peyton is in any way shape or form changing teams that either means A)He didn't pass the Colts physical or B)Somebody sold the farm for him.

If it's a realistic chance, go for it, but I have my doubts how realistic

1. Colts are not trading him, they will either keep or cut him.

2. I don't see Manning as "damaged goods", a 75% Peyton is better than 75% of the QB's in the league.

3. Fins must do everything possible to keep Manning from going to the Jets.

4. We must bring Manning in atleast for a workout and physical, please Fins, do not use the same staff that looked at Drew Brees

theres a good chance Peyton retires if he's cut. Ever think of that?
I think people are underestimating the severity of his injury.
