Trade Jordan..... why?

The Dolphins take too much of a hit in dead money to trade him right now. The key is putting him in a position to succeed. Should have paid Soliai instead of Starks and went 3-4. Draft CJ Mosely and kick Wheeler to the curb for less of a hit. Jordan,Misi, Mosely, Ellerbe behind Soliai, Vernon and Wake. Odrick can man some DT too.

move misi to middle let Jordan play strong. he needs to be on the field.

I couldn't agree more. I would grab Mosely @ 19 because this years draft is deep with OT's..

Some people seem to think that of a rookie doesn't dominate the league his first year in , then he sucks and will never do anything. It takes time to get used to playing at this level. I thought Jordan flashed in some of his limited play and think he has serious upside. He was coming off the Labrum surgery so that had to limit his practice time, let him get a full healthy offseason in before we lable him a bust.

This is a prime example of what we were talking about when some of us, honestly said, Dolphans will love you one minute and hate you the next. What Omar told Branden Alberts was spot on. The threads on trading Jordan are prime examples of our nonsense.

The albert thing is totally differant. Alberts has proven himself. Some people like myself thought it waz a bad decision to trade up for such a limited player. Last years draft not worth trading up in

Using JT as a standard, after he played an entire career isn't fair to Jordan. JT was drafted out of Akron as an undersized (skinny) project. He showed flashes his rookie yr(just like Jordan), but it's revisionist history to claim he was a dominant, impact player.
Boselli abused him on MNF in JT's second season (if I recall).
In fact, his entire career I can't recall JT making a game changing play in a meaningful game with a playoff spot on the line or in a playoff game. The upper echelon LT's always rendered him ineffective. He collected sacks in bunches against the mediocre LT's.
I dont dislike JT, but many posters often embellish has accomplishments.
Conversely, the criticisms of Jordan are premature.

And getting ran over by everybody. The nfl is full of freak athletes

JT was getting ran over his first couple of years. The difference is he didnt have competition and JJ allowed him to develope on the field. Stop getting all disappointed that Jordan could not beat out very good players with experience ahead of him. There was absolutely no reason to throw him out in the fire.

Im disappointed we wasted the third pick in the draft for a guy that was never a special player in college and in the process traded another second round pick for him. We could have stayed put and got a player of his caliber or better.
He may turn out good have never been a fan of him

Because he didn't get 15 sacks and make the pro bowl that's why he needs to be traded-dolphin fans logic

You draft based on potential and dions potential is the limitless. You can teach a player more pass rush moves, you can teach him to cover better, catch etc what you can't teach is a 6 foot 6 250 pound human being to run a 4.5 and have an explosive first step like dion has. With the right coaching he'll be a 10+ sack a year guy for the next 8 years and he looks like he could be our solution to covering gronk like tight ends in his limited snaps in coverage.

Another combine superstar and he actually ran a 4.6 at a much lighter weight than they want him to carry. If your perspective was correct being able to run a fast 40 time can become a great football player.
Bruce Irvin could run a 4.4 . Shea Mcellen ran a similar 4.6, .

I love this argument when its so false. He had two damn sacks and couldt even step when Wake got injured because the team felt he was too much of a liability against the run.
I don't think expecting him to start over Derrick Shelby as the third pick is an unreasonable expectation

Not like him.

whatever, there are plenty of athletes that are as freakish if not more so than him.
