TRADE?: Sam Bradford OUT with Torn ACL - Trade Matt Moore to Rams?

Some of you guys salivate for more Draft picks rather than appreciating the value of quality backups as insurance.
We need a good backup QB and we have one.

To be honest, I don't quite understand the importance of a backup QB unless you have an elite team all-around. If your starter goes down for any length of time, the season is done, no matter how decent the backup is. If Tannehill goes down, I'd rather just tank the season and get a high draft pick, rather than do what we did in 2011 and string together a few meaningless wins with the mediocre backup to get out of position for a can't miss QB prospect like Luck. In that regard, I'd rather have a high draft pick than Moore as backup. That being said I wouldn't give him up for a late-round pick.

I suppose the true value of a solid backup QB is win the starter gets knicked up for a game or two and the backup can come in and keep things afloat, but eh... I'd roll the dice that another backup could still pull off a game or two with the right surrounding cast around them.

You only say that because you don't have faith in Moore. That's a "you" thing.

Some of us feel as though should he be called upon we could still compete and hell maybe even hit some teams up over the top more often and loosen up defenses. Hence why we see the importance of keeping him around this year.

Hill is 34 so I'm not sure what he's got left.

he has got enough left to still have been their backup already. he has always kept a job.
I mean seriously u have Shaun hill who knows the system and is a proven backup, would u really trade for a backup who has been no better as a starter than the guy u have.

I have some news for you pal. At this time next year, we wont be able to get a bucket of quarters for Ryan Tannehill. I am not sure we could even get a 2nd out of him now. If we could, it would be a no brainer move. A 2nd round pick is almost the value we wasted on selecting him in the first place. It would not be a bad way to cut our losses.

Shawn Hill is a much better QB than Sam Bradford. Bradford is just plain terrible. Even Tannehill is better than Bradford. He has been holding that team back for years.

That's not news, that's an opinion. I happen to think your dog and pony dance for attention is played out. You offer slanted opinions in a matter of fact Like tone with nothing to support them but more opinions. It's tired. Id trade you to the gang green for a couple of Jets fans, at least those trolls' agendas would would be clear. Fortunately Finheaven has an ignore feature that I will time now place on your screen name. Unfortunately its taken longer than I would have liked to realize that despite the time you've spent here, and despite your post count, you contribute no credible nor meaningful substance to this or any discussion.

Also, WV is easily the worst state ive ever spent any time in. Just terrible.

Anyone that has Saban as their avatar on a Dolphins forum cannot be trusted. You have too much hate to see that RT is a top 15 QB and the arrow is pointing up. We could probably get your boy McCarron for a bucket of quarters right now.

On a side note, when I was watching a replay of the hit that ended Bradford's season, the guy that got beat was number 77. I believe that is franchise player Jake Long.

just because bradford went down doesn't mean they're going to trade the farm for a backup....nothing against Moore but his value didn't dramatically increase (even to the Rams) because Bradford is injured.

His value might not have increased but his trade stock certainly increases as qbs drop. In other words, if the front office is looking to move him you have to do s I when opportunity is there. I want to keep him as 3 as and 4 suc but office may feel differently.

Its pretty ironic that Fisher choose the Rams job over Miami because of a more stable QB situation.

He is going to end up getting 23 starts from Bradford in 3 seasons (48 games), while Tannehill doesn't miss a game.

I'm glad he choose the RAMS

I may be in the minority but I think Bradford kinda blows and Shaun Hill isn't much of a downgrade. Let's keep Moore here as a good backup that can win games is not easy to find. Unless of course the Rams call us and offer Tavon Austin. :)
