TRADE?: Sam Bradford OUT with Torn ACL - Trade Matt Moore to Rams?

If the Rams were going to make a trade I suspect it would be for Sanches who already knows Schotty. A second option may be Cousins but I'm not sure Washington would give him up. Moore isn't going anywhere and it's silly to think the Rams would want him or the Dolphins would give him up.

On a side note, when I was watching a replay of the hit that ended Bradford's season, the guy that got beat was number 77. I believe that is franchise player Jake Long.

I saw that too. Hate to see anyone get hurt, but I have to admit I'm not the least bit surprised.

I would do a trade if they were desperate enough to give us a 3rd round pick (I understand he is realistically only worth maybe a 5th, but desperate teams do crazy things)

I was looking on twitter after the injury and apparently Jake Long was responsible...

Just saw the play for the first time. Jake Long was 100% responsible for that play. He has not been the same since all the injuries.

To be honest, I don't quite understand the importance of a backup QB unless you have an elite team all-around. If your starter goes down for any length of time, the season is done, no matter how decent the backup is. If Tannehill goes down, I'd rather just tank the season and get a high draft pick, rather than do what we did in 2011 and string together a few meaningless wins with the mediocre backup to get out of position for a can't miss QB prospect like Luck. In that regard, I'd rather have a high draft pick than Moore as backup. That being said I wouldn't give him up for a late-round pick.

I suppose the true value of a solid backup QB is win the starter gets knicked up for a game or two and the backup can come in and keep things afloat, but eh... I'd roll the dice that another backup could still pull off a game or two with the right surrounding cast around them.

This is such a selfish and loser attitude I will never understand. I am certainly glad the team looks at it differently.
You may have crap **** invested in the team except maybe a couple beers and a little BBQ on Sundays but I would say that season ticket holders and those paying top $ going to the game disagree.

Listen, we have had a DECADE of "almost" because of the mentality to trot out mediocre crap to struggle to win a few games. You, along with everyone else on this forum, would trade in all those Matt Moore-won games from 2011 that noone even remembers any more for the opportunity to have Andrew Luck leading the team for a decade.

It's actually not a loser attitude, its a winner attitude - sometimes you need to endure the worst to gain strength and succeed.

Andy Dufresne - who crawled through a river of **** and came out clean on the other side.

If the starter goes down, the season is already lost - no need to put lipstick on a pig and jeopardize the future. That being said, I understand the coaches and players won't think this way, and SHOULDN'T think this same way, its just as a fan I'd rather tank after a season ending injury to the starting QB than spin our wheels with a backup for nothing substantial.

Bradford's cap number for the 2012-2014 totals $45,800,000 for 23 games.

Ouch!

Why would we want to give up a solid #2 QB who is our insurance for a good season in case THill goes down. There is no way to win with Brady or Lobato. It would take a 1st rounder for me. I wouldn't give up Moore period.

I am not sure he is even an upgrade.

People around here think Moore is some revolution in Miami Qbing. While I concede that Tannehill still has a lot to prove I also know that Matt Moore isn't any answer to long term Miami QBing.

As for the debate I don't think Moore is any good. He gives you as much bad as he does good. But I'm not sure what Hill gives you

Shaun Hill is not a bad football player. Seriously. He's got like twice as many TDs as INTs in his career and has had some good performances.

Sorry. But anybody who doesn't think a backup QB can win g a mes to get to a super bowl should just think back to 1972 ! Anybody remember a guy named Earl Morrall without him the undeafeated season may never have happened! Shula never tanked a season just because his starting guy went down he just played the game to their strengths! And I am confident that Moore could win us games!
