Most of the guys on the ESPN draft special seem to think that most teams will stay where they are. Clayton said that the Bucs are only offering SF a third to move up to number one and that even though there are still talks going on, the Vikes seem to be backing off of offering both firsts and even that may not be enough. Not a good feeling about trading down after watching the draft special. Take it for what its worth. We will see come draft day.

Did anybody else get this feeling or am I the only one.

I also have that felling aswell. I think that we will just keep the #2 pick and IMO, we will draft Edwards. If the 49ers take Rodgers, then i bet you that Saban will take Smith.

Or because they think it is not looking good means it prob is going to happen. :D

I will tell you on Sunday if its looking good or not.

Thats what I think to. I used to think something different but over the last two days I am pretty sure this will be what happens on draft day. I dont think trading down is an option, teams are trying to low ball by saying that this year isnt as good as previous years. In the end I think we are stuck at #2.

I think something will happen... if not, we're going to get get the best player in the draft (Edward) or a franchise QB (Smith). It's win/win.

Yeah I have to agree with you.....must teams don't seem willing to move up and offer us much for our #2 pick. :shakeno:

BUT, if we can get a franchise QB (Rodgers or Smith) or a franchise RB (Ronnie Brown), I could live with that. Only time will tell....I wish Saturday would get here already.

No, with all the smoke screens and misinfo. being leaked, I still beleive the Vikings will trade up to #2. They don't need to go to #1 and pay that money. #3 won't be enough to land Edwards with miami picking second. Remember they had Moss, they want the biggest impact receiver to replace him AND they just had a receiver arrested on charges that aren't very minor. We'll hear alot of different things over the next few days until teams start making early moves (like washington and Oakland) showing their daft hand.

Keep:cool:

Oh so much speculation....all we know is that Saban would like to get more picks....does it happen? At this point Saturday @ around 12:30 EST is the only time we'll know.

Fun to do it though.....I would love the fins to get more picks

I don't know why everybody thinks Smith is a franchise QB, I see Ryan Leaf written all over him. We will draft Edwards.

I screwed up and started another thread, but I got the same feeling. We're gonna pick at #2. I hope we don't go WR. We have the underrated Booker and C.C. I still like Caddy, even at two. If you can't trade down, what can you do?

Well, if we dont trade down we'll end up with QB's Smith / Rodgers, or Braylon Edwards. Its a win-win.

Dont be surprised if Miami takes Rodgers if SF takes Smith. They have spent a lot of time talking with Rodgers as well, and if nobody offers them a good trade after Smith is gone- Rodgers may be the only player worth taking at #2.
