I wouldn't have a problem with giving up a 7th for Harrington, or maybe even a 7th and next year's 6th if we knew our 3rd string QB was trash...but we don't know much about Cleo...what if we do spend a 6th and a 7th on Harrington and Lemon just beats him in training camp/pre-season? That'd just be a waste...why not just draft Omar Jacobs midway through the draft and see if either steps up? Jacobs can't be THAT much worse than Harrington (could maybe even be better) and he'd only cost one pick...any opinions?

You want someone with NFL starting experience to be on the roster in case Daunte isn't ready on opening day. Thats why Harrington is so attractive if we can get him for a 6th or 7th. A new team and no pressure plus a change of scenery will do him good. He no longer has to be the "man". I don't want Cleo Lemon starting against Pittsburgh.

Jacobs might not be there when we pick in the 3rd or 4th.

has cleo ever played a down in the nfl??? no didnt think so. he cant be our option. he isnt proven and he isnt experienced. we need someone wiht experience. and having a starter last year as our back up would be great

Coach is looking for a veteran who can manage games, not win them, until Dante is ready.

whats with you guys and picks...i know saban loves them but honestly he is too obsessed with them. i would trade a 4th pick for harrington. he really didn play that poorly and is already developed. he would be the best 2nd stringer in the league. a pick is only a crap shoot and especially a 4th or 3rd rounder. Dont get caught up on it b/c it is just a draft pick...think about how harrington was not playing in a good system and did well in some games. i believe he would thrive in our system. I would trade it for him in a second.

Yeah, Cleo Lemon starting on the road against Pittsburgh is bad. I would rather have Harrington, but the highest I would probably go for him is a 6th round pick next year. If we cant get him then don't spend as much money and get Jamie Martin.

Just get Marino to come out of retirement for 1-year, he's well rested!

where's xxxsurtainxxx at?..well Im gonna say it for him..welker at qb ...

all seriousness though,A 5th round pick OR 4th at the most next year!..I think he's worth atleast a 5th or 4th..But Let's wait for lavar IMO..

Saban's obsessed with draft picks??? Nick Saban? The head coach of the Miami Dolphins?

You want to trade a 3rd or 4th round pick for someone who only wants a two year deal??

Just because it's happened before doesnt mean it should be a possibility that Saban should actively plan for.

I wouldnt trade a ****ing beer for that sorry qb. We are getting screwed if we give anything up at all. **** I wouldnt want him if they were giving us a draft pick just so we would take his sorry *** of the Lions. He is a scrub and will never be anything else.
