Tripp making plays in practice

The unusual thing about Tripp is that he has the flexibility to play any of the LB roles. At the moment he is just being trained for the Will role (Wheeler's position), but his complete versatility may be handy down the road.

Not even close. In the first game he had 4 tackles and added 2 missed tackles. In the second game he had two tackles. Maybe it's just me but, that did not stand out, although I'm sure I liked the missed tackles. :)

If I did watch him, I would have thought him a struggling rookie.
 
I don;t follow college ball much, but I agree with Duffner based on a few people who told me about Tripp when we drafted him. He was described to me as possibly our most instinctive linebacker, before even playing in the NFL. Of course that's a commentary on our not very instinctive group we already had, but it was meant more as a positive about Tripp.

He just needs an off season to get physically stronger from what I hear. Hey, Wasn't Zach Thomas too small? I'll take it.

No less than any of the self-proclaimed draft experts on any fan board...I can understand getting enjoyment out of it, but to infer somebody else is a lesser on this board because they don't know all the names is pretty damn lame.

Everybody has their own picks...nobody's even close to 100%...there are busts and surprises every year. I don't waste time putting together a list of who I want, because who the GM wants is what will matter. What I think about player A, B or C don't matter, and I don't watch too much NCAAF either...I'll just check-out who we pick and go from there. To each their own.
 
I thought you meant he was making close friends in practice. :lol:

Even guys who do it for a living (ie the awesome GMs who have walked through ours doors over the past decade) can't get it right

Not only was my guess not "not even close," it was exact (from NFL.com):

10/20 @ MIA W 23-21 4 tackles 3 solo 1 assist

12/22 MIA W 19-0 8 tackles 3 solo 5 assist

I didn't say he played well against us, I just said if someone watched the games he had about 12 tackles (not solo tackles). So, he had exactly 12 tackles.
