Dumbest post ever. The "Suck for Luck" sweepstakes does not work that way. You have to be genuinely bad, not intentionally.

You try telling a locker room full of athletic Alpha Males to play poorly intentionally.

- If you think a bunch of players playing for their livelihood are going to look bad for a season (and thus negatively affect their future salaries/contracts), you need to get a clue.

- If you think a bunch of players are going to intentionally play bad in the cutthroat business of the NFL so your franchise gets a great QB, you need to get a clue. If a player decides to play poorly so Luck will be on his team next year, he will probably not be around to play with Luck because he will get cut or traded because he played like crap.

- If you think a bunch of NFL veterans in their twilight years are going to give up "just one season" to get a great QB that can help them win a SB, you need to get a clue. Drafting Andrew Luck is not a guarantee of a SB victory; a veteran player will not give up one season to draft Luck, THEN give up one or two more seasons for Luck to develop into an elite QB. By that time a vet will be on another team or out of the league.

Everyone knows that but so many people have expectations for this team that are ludicrous. Any level headed person would know that a 1-15 year or 4-12 year especially in this draft class is a better thing for this team in the long run. As a fan i don't care about how the players feel i care about whats best for my team

Exactly, the fact is this team just isn't that good. People have blinders on if they think this team can be real good. They don't have enough talent and the offensive line and secondary is real bad. That doesn't mean I am not a fan of the team, I am just being real.

Is this thread a joke... do you honestly think we are the worst team in the nfl? This is a bold prediction after one game. With an improved offense and our defense there is no chance this team is last in the league. I realize our defense got smoked by the pats, but 1 game is a very small sample size. I will also point out that against the pats if we convert on either 4th and goal attempt the dynamic of the game is changed drastically.

I understand you think losing is best for the team this year, but I don't see a shot in hell this team looses 10+ games unless they really try.

We are one of the worst franchises in this league and that's just a fact. It all starts at the top and this has been a very poorly ran organization for the last decade.

Only since Ross took over have we been one of the worst franchises in the league. Wayne was continually ranked one of the top 10 owners the entire time he was here. He always hovered around 6 - 8 or so. He was a good owner that wanted to win more than the current buffoon we have. Could wayne had made better decisions? Yes, but he always and honestly tried to build a winner. Ross on the other hand is more concerned with the circus show than he is the actual sport of football. I would like to see some current rankings. I bet we are right around 27-29.

and 7-9 is the worst thing that could happen to this franchise if you're 7-9 in the position were in its better to be 2-14 the colts 49ers bills and panthers are in better shape then we are.

As it stands right now, we are worse than 4 out of 7 of those teams. IMO the only LOCKS to be worse than us are the Colts. I could see each of those other teams doing better than us. Could go either way.
