Tua Contract Details Discussion Thread

Fair enough
its not complicated. wilkins was a horse. the 2-4 guys they signed to replace him, none of whom i have ever heard of, all ponies
I was actually referring to players on team this upcoming season.

Wilkins is no longer on team and we couldn't afford him.

Either way it’s wrong.

This years

I mean they aren’t really denials and our team got better than it was last year. They got a ton of deals and high level stop gap players for well below their market value.

Yes dline took a little blow and so did oline however safety and corner both got solid upgrades, linebackers much improved, wide receiver 3 took a major upgrade as did tight end.

You may of predicted a tough time however the team improved. Honestly with the addition of campbell atleast for the year not even sure dline took a hit at all.

We are in better shape then we were this offseason and as I explained I think we improved as a team.
Somewhat off topic, i am not sure how LB is improved for example. we let Jerome Baker go, and signed Jordan Brooks. Seattle let Jordan Brooks go, and signed Baker. So I guess we think Brooks is better, they think Baker is better. We will get to find out. My suspicion is much ado about nothing and we are more or less in the same spot. Hopefully I am wrong and they upgraded. I am sneaky optimistic about the Cleveland LB Anthony Walker they picked up for almost nothing. If he can stay healthy, that one could turn out pretty good.

Not always so cut and dry. Sometimes it's about who you think is the better player now and projected in your scheme over the next 2 or 3 years. Other times it's not about the player, but more about the contract. For example they might like one player more but are not intrested in signing the player to a multiple year deal at his requested rate.
