Of course it probably wont compare to more expensove ones, but its just another category. Ie. I dont think Im ever going to be in the ring with a 100+$ bottle of Burbon, and as such I rate the ones I might ever get my hands on in my price range.

There are a number of very high end bourbons that sell for hundreds per bottle (even a few in the thousands) and are very good. However, the best bourbon is the one you enjoy the most. Buffalo trace is an excellent choice.

For me, I have a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 15 year old that I only drink when the Fins are in the playoffs. Let’s just say it has lasted awhile! My regular go to is Makers Mark as I prefer bourbon made with wheat instead of rye, but there are literally dozens of good choices that are reasonably priced.

If you haven’t done so, a road trip to the Buffalo Trace distillery in Kentucky is worth the trip. It is part of the bourbon tour and they do a really good job of educating you on the various bourbons they make!

Love the structure of the extension, it basically still sticks to their plan of this team sticks together until 2026 then they can blow it all up if needed.

Really surprised at the 2025 number, even taking into account the roster bonus will likely be changed to a signing bonus but I guess they needed to do that to give them the out after 2026.

Brandon Shore is fantastic at cap management.

@Sticky Gloves the out is after the 2026 season, it’s basically a 2 year extension. I guess you will be excited by that.

IDK - he was soooo slow last year from that bulk. Prior to last year he could get out of trouble. Escapability was poor in 2023 - couldn’t extend plays or reset after moving off of his spot. He had no trouble doing that in years prior.

Well I hope it works out. I just think the additional weight could help him absorb hits a littler better. What I do know is that I’m ready for some football.

My wife and I have the bourbon tour on our bucket list.

I have been a Bulleit fan for a long time... Someone gifted me a bottle of Elijah Craig small batch recently and I really liked it.

Four Roses small batch is an excellent bargain whiskey...(If I am out on the road and I stop for the night that is what I look for at whatever local ABC store) That is how I got to drinking Bulleit... Used to be really poor and it was bang for the buck my favourite. Someone suggested I try Bulleit and I switched from four Roses to Bulleit. I just cannot make myself spend 400 dollars on a bottle of Whiskey or Bourbon. Half the time when company comes over when I get out the Bulleit they will want to dump half a can of coca cola on top of it... (I make a mental note of people that do that... and the next time they visit I hand them a bottle of Jim Beam to mix with Coca Cola)

Okay this is getting windy... Going to stop talking about Bourbon now... LOL

Johnny Walker Gold Reserve
