Gotta admit that scared me a lil’
I would have rather him pick up Chase Edmonds and throw him at the defender!

Tua needs to play smart. Each year he's tried to play hero in college and the pros, he's ended up getting hurt. He's just not built for it. It is what it is. A player needs to know his limitations, and he shouldn't feel like a lesser teammate throwing the ball away or running out of bounds. Brady has made a career protecting himself and is the GOAT.

It's not event he fact that Tua lowers his shoulder and goes at guys, which is just not smart. When he's under pressure and being tackled, he doesn't tuck the ball and/or his chin. He keeps his arm free until the last possible moment. That's when he gets hurt. His falls are completely unnatural and awkward. Go back and look at the pictures of him being sacked. This offense is complete garbage without him. He needs to learn what it takes to stay on the field.

He's tired of the BS and tried to shut up people who have been calling him fragile.

He's a young guy so its not like he's not of this age of social media, he sees it all and I am sure the Twitter warriors talking **** were on his mind to an extent.

I thought the second one was fine. He was going for a big first down.

I forget the situation on the first, but remember thinking it was a poor decision.

Just gotta be smart about when to do it. Understand leverage/momentum and who your opponent is. Case in point - Tua saw he had good position against the LB which is why he was able to deliver the blow against a much stronger and faster player.

Mixed feelings... Lot of variables going on here. I said before taking that mentality out of him would be alot more difficult than assumed. This is how he's played his entire life, and Im sure he feels like that mentality is a big part of why he's an NFL QB right now. Its his identity at this point.

While watching him do that live, I cringed but I also smiled... Its one of those things where you admire the courage but also fear the possible consequences...

That being said, after sleeping on it... Those really arent the dangerous plays tbh, Tua's in open field and put himself in position to be the attacker on both instances, one-on-one vs. a single defender. Probability of an injury there is quite lower than standing still in a muddy pocket 3 seconds after a snap imo.

Too me it seems like his taking less hit doing it that way lol.

Admire the attitude but even without the injury history it isn't smart.

He just is not big enough to absorb contact for no good reason.

Josh Allen is a giant dude and Buffalo wants HIM to slide more.

I personally love it, he needed that contact for his football self esteem, he may need to do that in a playoff game so I'm glad that he started playing his type of ball.

IIRC neither resulted in a first down. Doesn't make sense just to make it 4th and 2 rather than 4th and 3.

Tua will always say the right thing publically.

I presume lowering his head twice for first downs was his middle finger back to being called fragile goods the past few weeks.

Tua, he’s definitely got heart and is a fighter. But damn he got lucky. Some defenders would have taking that as an opportunity to F Tua up! He’s got to slide.
