Tua Starting Against Jets

I’m hoping Tua. Rushes it the rest of the way and proves he can be the future. BUT I would also draft or bring in someone who could compete with him in the offseason. At the very least in case of injury.
You have to. You have to assume he’s going to miss 4 games or so and put an emphasis on the backup QB position. Grier would be foolish not to.

The comments suggesting that if Tua plays well the rest of this season he should be traded are ridiculous. Specifically, interested teams would likely offer up their QB's who are not better skilled than Tua. He is in the second year of a rookie contract, which means the Dolphins have his services for relatively little money. The smart thing to do is spend the next 1.5 seasons letting Tua play, work on improving OL , running game etc... and reevaluate for the 2023 season.
Not all that ridiculous if the team doesn't actually believe Tua has top 5-10 QB upside. Playing "well" isn't good enough, especially when you add in the injury history.

Look at every team at the top of their division (Dak, Murray, Rodgers, Brady, Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, Tanny). All top 5-10 QBs. QBs that just "play well" aren't good enough in modern day NFL.

Or maybe you get a competent OL to reduce the chance that they get your QB killed. Brissett is a big, albeit a real slow one. And even he has been limping around with various ailments because he's been hit 20 times a game. that's not normal for an NFL team.

By that logic, then the Steelers and the Colts and the Vikings and the Falcons and every other team without a top 10 QB should be beating down the door to get Watson. But they aren't. I wonder why.

I suggest looking at the entire rosters of the teams for the QB's you list. In other words, good defense and OL are very significant to a team's quarterback play.
Also, 3 years ago was Tannehill on your "top 5-10 QB upside" list ? If the answer is yes then I assume you wanted him to remain the Dolphins QB. I did too, but that's water under the bridge.

I'd say Tannehill is an outlier, and more in the 10-15 range, but he's playing very well. Tanny always had some nice tools (size/running ability/arm strength). Titans are 17th in pass block win rate. Nothing special. My guess is he goes up against the better QB in the playoffs, and the better QB wins.

You do both if you’re smart

I'm sure in the offseason some of those teams will be in on it. However, at the end of the day, it's not up to them. It's up to Watson. He wields all the power with his NTC.

Probably because they believe he will be serving time this time next year.
