The stupid races between two cars in a straight-line that you see in Fast and Furious? Never knew that was a big event in the US.

Oh definitely is especially where I live here in Iowa Racing in general is very popular never been a big fan personally but my dad use to drag race so that's about how I know anything about it lol.
