Turning The Corner With Philbin And Tanne on Board...

I see improvement at QB, RB, TE and OT. Plus the offensive scheme is better. The defense lost a few players but none they will really miss. Also, I think Coyle is good hire and the move to the 4-3 base won't be that big, they played plenty of four man fronts last year

Really?? I dont see that.... have you looked at the players taken in the draftt or FA? Have you really looked at last years talent? We arent that far off...

Look, I heard this same stuff last year while I was calling the team at 3-13 and just about everything I called before the season was right. From my point of view, I was a lot closer to reality in what was going on then those seeing us a playoff team last year...so, why the hell should I start listening to all folks who didn't couldn't get anything right?

You were off by 3 wins just as the people who said we'd have a winning record were off by 3 wins. I'd call that a push Doc.

Yeah.. it was reported that one day he was on fire and the next he was slow.
Cool, I wasn't being a prick I just haven't read or heard that but thanks

So you think we're capable of going winless?
Turned the corner? I don't think we have seen bottom yet...

This team is so lacking in talent on offense it is amazing. On defense we are moving to a new scheme without the needed personnel. We are basically experimenting with safeties at this point. We have no clue about QB. I expect this team to be barely better than last year, but taking coaching out of the equation, the talent is less. The only real improvement we have is we got rid of Columbo...that's it.

I think overall the talent level is about the same or maybe even slightly worse this year but I think coaching will pay a huge dividend this year and Philbin and Co. will actually be able to put players in the right position and help them develope so I truly believe that we will be a better team this year and going forward.

Actually if you predicted 3-13, then you were wrong, because they were closer to a 9-7 team, then a 3-13 team with all the close game early.

Last year? Yes, you bet we were. We were fully capable last year of not winning a game. Moore being better than expectations was a godsend...

That is such crap. We started 0-7 and large portion of this board fully believed that we may not even win a game...so don't give me that "were were close to 9-7 crap"....I'm not buying it.

This is were people come up with this "we were close in a lot of games nonsense." We were a really bad team that was sticking in games because the other team didn't need to do anything special to beat us. The basically knew that all they had to do was show up and not do anything stupid, and we were a"W".

You said you do not think we have seen bottom yet (bottom was 2007). "Yet" tells me you think we are capable, this year, or in the future, of doing worse than our latest, "Bottom", which was 2007.

Actually a large portion WERE HOPING Miami would lose most of their games, so that we could get Luck, but even more rational of the SFL members knew it would be a matter of time before Miami started winning.

Also I did not say we were close to 9-7, I said we were closer to being a 9-7 team then 3-13, being a 5-10 - 8-8 team is about where Miami fit best with some break (bad or good). Miami even during their winless streak were still very competive, and no team was taking them lightly, or thinking of them as a 3-13 team....the Colts and Rams played like 3-13 team, the 2007 Dolphins played like a 3-13 team.

Yea ok, teams were actually letting a so called weak Dolphin's team stick around in games, because teams that ussually do that NEVER get burnt....keep telling yourself that.

We could end up worse. Take the scenario that Tannehill starts. We could be really bad his rookie year. Also, we have no idea what Philbin will end up being as an HC. Look at Cam Cameron. Everyone was giddy when he was made coach and we ended up with one of the most pitiful offenses in the history of football...(no thanks to Browns injury...or that stud Beck).

Also, as long as Ireland is the GM...things can get worse. This draft was a huge gamble in many respects. We reached badly for QB, and we grabbed two players with injury histories and a TE that had in a reality a much worse year last year than the previous.

We are doing experiments at safety. For all we know, we are going to be wishing Bell was back here. He was very good against the run. I'm not sure we will get the same support from Jones.

And what is a 5-10 to 8-8 team? A crap team...and isn't 5-10 worse than last year. So even your own estimation shows us to possibly be worse...so thanks for playing...

When the good docter says something positive about our team that's when we've finally turned the corner .. or hell froze over :)

The Jets, as arrogant and bad as they were, took us lightly (as evidenced in their HUGE in-game implosion), and we knocked their ass*s out of the playoffs
