Turning The Corner With Philbin And Tanne on Board...

Miami was like 15 yards from beating Cleveland.

Also, Dr, no offense but you're WAY off on this past draft. It was pure value, and it was great.

edit: In terms of value. Tannehill was by no means a "massive reach". Unless we have different qualifies for massive reach, but getting a guy with #8 who would have been gone by #11-#12, to me, is not a "Massive reach"

The players may bust, they may boom, they may be mediocre. What matters is that Ireland had a great draft in terms of what was available and what selections we had. You can't ask any more than that.

lost to the giants by an offensive pass interference bs call.

I know, I know...what a block head statement! Even before he first snap is played in the 2012 regular season, and not to mention who'll start at QB?

But what does your gut say at this premature, inactive stage? Can it be possible that we indeed will indeed turn that long awaited corner with these guys?

In truth, I am just way too excited for September to arrive. It's driving me mad...oh patience lesson my anxiety just a bit for everything so far is looking fantastic: the FO look like rock stars, not to mention the early signings, Tanne knowing the play book to the letter, etc., etc.. Oh boy!

I am certainly not underrating my Dolphins even this early in the game...even before the first scrimmages are in the book.

So is your gut feeling the same as mine, or are you a I have to see it before I believe it type of person as most, I would estimate, are. Come on guys your gut feelings must say yes -- they can and they will!!

Well?

Not at all brother....The turning point for me was finally drafting a prime QB prospect in round one again after 29 years of ignoring the most important position in football.

I have been frustrated for 12 years now as I hoped we'd draft Drew Brees, Aaron Rogers & Matt Ryan only to be disapointed again and again.

It all starts at the QB position, if you don't have one nothing is more important than getting one.

I was a vocal supporter of drafting Tannehill long before the draft and before it was trendy, I truly feel when all is said and done we will have gotten the BEST QB in this draft....yes better than Luck or RG3.

I am not at all concerned with anything happening in OTA's....there is a natural adjustment to the speed of the game at the NFL level that all QB's go through....to be concerned about that now before training camp has even started is a waste of time.

Really?? I dont see that.... have you looked at the players taken in the draftt or FA? Have you really looked at last years talent? We arent that far off...

Naw, he can't see far enough beyond his half empty glass of prune juice to see any of that.

By definition a "reach" player isnt a player you take when he falls to you. A "reach" is only someone you have to move up for in order to get. Tannehill wasnt a reach at all because he fell to us. We didnt have to reach out to get him. If we moved up, then he'd be a reach. Sanchez was a reach, and a huge one at that.

Yes, I have looked at the talent. Have you? Tell me about the talent at WR. Tell me about the Talent at QB. Tell me about the talent at safety. Tell me about the talent at guard. Tell about the talent we have to move to a 4-3 D.

I heard all this "talent" crap last year...how'd that turn out?

You may be right doc but you'll go though the whole season in misery already knowing the out come in advance with your only condolence being able to say I told you so.
Most of us are unwelling to give up that easily esspecially 3 or 4 OTA's into the season. Put logic aside and take a leap of faith yet again. It'll be more fun. Trust me.
If you plan on being this negative all year at least take your lovely child off your sig. It's hard to argue with that smiling face. :)
