UH OH! Carroll Starting?

When Smith said "I know the perception of him is not that good," Smith said. "When you watch TV and see him chasing (a receiver) it looks like it's his guy. But nobody knows what's really going on, or knows the (defensive) schemes. Is Smith talking about fans not knowing what's really going our the players. I can't tell from watching tha game.

Id rather Allen play the boundary. I know he isnt the Will Allen from a few years ago, but he has done it before and knows whats up. I have more confidence with him out there unless he is more shot than they are letting on. The Browns arent gonna be running a helluva lot of 3 wide sets I dont think so Nate wont have to see much run anyway...or you can move Will Allen into the slot the couple times he has to and let Carroll take the outside then...hopefully it wont be much like I say.

i see where you;re coming from...but i'm not sure i think the staff sees it the same...but with nate jones coming in maybe they do...i know i don't like carroll in the slot a lot more than i'm not liking him on the boundary i know that

i love it when the players say stuff like this cause imo its not that hard to figure out...no duh smith reshad jones did not give help on the andre johnson td...i already know that...but i also know that carroll was lost on the boundary against the pats and that wasn't someone elses doing

Nate Jones was very good in the nickle back in 2009 when he played for us.

2 int's 10 passes def. 2 forced fumbles

I was sad to see him signed by Denver.

So he's played with YB , Davis & Smith (rookie year) and Will Allen

I think he'll fit right in

Good pickup

yea awesome pickup he was so good he couldnt make the broncos great secondary over such great players as cassius vaughn AND Syquad Thompson

Only problem is now he is two years older and two years slower..

We shall see very soon.

I'm only pointing out he has experience playing with these guys and was pretty good a few years ago.

As for now .... who the heck knows.

Another ignorant move by Sparano that's going to kill this team if he did indeed get hurt on special teams. We all said this was stupid coming out of pre season but the most ignorant head coach in the NFL couldn't figure it out.

attack for once

I couldn't agree more. Screw it. Blitz 'em, run some bump and cover and if we get beat deep that way so be it. I'm sick of seeing 5 seconds + in the pocket and then a wide open receiver with our DB's chasing. That Welker pass was embarrassing, but I bet that wouldn't happen most of the time.

It wouldn't.... you're not going to see teams spread the field with 4 WR's from inside their own 1 yard line most of the time.... but Tom Brady will.

so why blitz them if you know its coming? why not show the blitz than back off?

Why the hell are you asking me? I didn't call the blitz... Mike Nolan did.

I doubt Miami was expecting the Patriots to spread the field with 4 receivers in that situation. Look at the personnel package Miami had on the field... that's not a personnel package you would use against an empty backfield with 4 WR's...

I'm more worried about Reshad Jones blowing more coverage assignments
