I agree with you Jerry, Garner and Cook could all be toast, but I think I read Steinbach has only played LG and never RG and they don't want him playing RG until they feel he is up to speed again. Having said that Incognito can play both guards and Hicks can play a few positions too. Got to love the stability so far with the 1s on the line though, well done Philbin.

CK, you're very alert and good at identifying potential. As long as Samuda continues to do well, he should beat out Cook. Which of the other UDFAs can make it? Hogan sounds like he's an interesting prospect.

MURTHA was reportedly NOT limping today. And he's backing up JAKE. He wouldn't seem to be going anywhere. I mean, after all, we HAVE to see what our new T's got. After all, MIAMI spent a 2nd for him. He reportedly has strength issues, and is trying to master the shift from playing LT to playing RT. If I were the OL Coach, I'd try to get him as many "reps" at RT as possible. After all, the young man HAS shown some talent. He needs "reps", and an ongoing love affair w/the Weightsroom. That may be ALL that he needs!

And if he CAN'T get it done, we have to find out, and better NOW than LATER. If anyone should worry, it's JERRY, who did pretty good work at LT after JAKE went out...but...! COOK can't be feeling too secure, either.
 
A lot of changes! This is one of the "wait and hold your breath" topics, watching the new coaching staff decided on who stays and goes without an obvious bias. Obviously former starters are getting a good look, and I'm hoping that this line will wind up being a physical, intelligent, mean, fast and healthy unit!

I still say if we stay healthy, win takeaway/giveaway, don't commit stupid penalties, and limit big plays by the opponents i think we will stand a damn good chance of a wild card. I think our D has the potential of being one of the best, and our offense...we'll have to see. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised though.

I wouldn't be surprised. Sparano in one of his press conferences slipped & said he was the main architect in bringing in all those Cowboy reject O-linemen to Miami over the years. They were HIS recommendation to Ireland so Ireland just signed them to accommodate the coaches needs & wants (at sparano's area of "expertise", AHEM).

It would not surprise me at all if the Jets become central station for Dolphin rejects. This is one of the reasons I loved the Jets Hire of Sparano. Sparano loves crap that he's familiar with. Not just any old crap, but crap he knows, he loves. And he can't get enough of that crap on his roster. The more the merrier.
 
Sparano is probably salivating at the thought of getting his hands on John Jerry. Will need to get him bigger, 345 lbs is not enough.
 
all we gotta do is draft 2 guards 1 +2 in nexts years draft and well have composed the best o line ever
 
I'm glad they have stuck to a top line and are letting them play together and gel. I never liked the rotation approach Sparano took, I think it held back progression on the line and guys were never truly situated. There is hope the o-line settles down this year and isn't such a sore spot for us.
