"Wade said Friday the offer he recently received from the Dolphins wasn't close to the five-year, $25 million initial proposal submitted last week by agent Tom Condon that included a $10 million signing bonus.

"It looks like I'm heading toward free agency," said Wade, who would be a hot commodity elsewhere after starting all but one game the past four years."

 Sign our tackle!!!

No, he sucks and wants to much money... I'd prefer someone like Adam Medows. He'll, I'd prefer John Tait. Anything but Wade and his 25 million. He can go **** himself, Miami doesn't need him that bad (even with only 1 current starter on the line).

How much of a hot commodity? We shall see. we may need to draft max starks.

Tait is a transition player.....Meadows......well.....is just not better than Wade..........any other ideas?

Meadows is better, and even if he's not, he's cheaper.

Also, If I'm not mistaken it doesn't matter if Tait is a transitional player... All that means is someone has to match the offer, and picks arn't included.

Dallas wants Wade

If dallas wants Wade at that price let them have him, right now Wade is a 12 mil 5 yr 5 mil sign bonus kind of guy..

About how many tackles in free agency and how many years will we say that?

It's our guy. He's earned somewhere near 5 for 20 million.

He hasn't earned anything... He is a dolphin, so they owe him something? Maybe he should have played BETTER and not average like he has for the last few years.

20 million over 10 years sounds good.. outside of that, he isn't good enough to get a 20 million dollar deal.

Todd Wade isn't worth anything near 10 million in a signing bonus. He's nuts.

So who are you giving it to? John Tait? He'll get that or more from a KC team that knows the value of an offensive line.

Or wait.....

We'll get a starting right tackle for our third 1st round draft pick for the Ogunleye acquisition.

the dolphins don't know the value of an oline? I guess thats why they have no inside line right? Uhh, no...

If Miami wants Tait they can get him (with the money WADE WANTS). Or they can sign Meadows who's equal, if not better, for less money. It's not brain surgery...

John Tait is WORTH more than Wade. That is why he should (and will) get more.

You don't overpay for a RT who had a very average year when he knew his contract was going to be up. If you want average, you pay for average. You don't pay a preimium for it. We, unfortunately, do not have the luxury of overpaying for our own people.

Yes and whoever they acquire can learn the new terminology, along with new protection schemes, along with new linemen's tendancies, along with the AFC east defensive tendancies, along with the nuances of a new QB, along with the expectations of a new coach, along with settling a family into a new town (which does interfere with productivity), and that doesn't even begin to describe the change that one man endures.

Combine that with the fact that you've wasted four years of training a man for a job and you might have some inclination of what's lost.

It's a dream to you. It's a job for them.
