I think this all depends on whether or not Randy palys to his potential this season.

If the team does not re-sign Randy, I think they'll offer him the franchise tender. This isn't saying they'll keep him, but they may just do that so they get something in return, very similar to what Buffalo did with Peerless Price. I don't think Randy is a top 5 tight end, but he could turn out to be one. One of the things that could hurt or help him is if the team when it goes 3 wideouts, with Ricky and Ronnie in the backfield is if they split him out or Booker/Boston.

It is possible to carry 4 TE's. Minny is still running this offense and they are looking at doing so. They changed Kliensasser from FB to TE/H-back. Anything is possible!

I did neglect to mention that I think this is McMike's final season in Miami. I think he'll be franchised and traded for at minimum a 2nd & 5th.

Linehan's system has never had a top shelf TE.

I, also, neglected to ask if Moa who played at the U of Utah will stick around? He is versatile and could feel a Kleinsasser like role (TE, H-back, FB).

Moa tore his Achilles' tendon over in Europe, so he is out for the season.
